So who's going? What are you doing? Boat? Daycamp? The free parking at the Pines starts at 7pm and the firework show starts at 9pm.

I can't be there all day cause of my medical reason, but we want to go in the afternoon after it cools off a bit and find something to do. My kids (6 & 7) are so excited to go. Would have loved to have been able to rent a pontoon for the afternoon, that will be next years plan http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif

Maybe some of us with kids could meet up??? Maybe a KFC picnic or something http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

I have been on the lake all week on a friends 2 story party barge. Yesterday was so busy. I'm sure tomorrow will be insane. If you make it out to Willow Cove on a boat, look for me on a white 2 story party barge.

That's me. I have not been drinking all that much though... saving it for tomorrow. Maybe I'll wear my life vest in case I fall overboard and pass out. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/lol.gif

Being the Natural born klutz that I am...I managed to cut and I don't know what else to 3 toes on my right foot--last night after I got home from work. Thankfully, none are broken, but open wounds means no Bass Lake for me!

I hope everyone has a great time with family and friends. Safe and Sane as the saying goes!

Woke up to Cannon Fire this morning. My neighbor shoots his cannon off every hour all day on the 4th.
Might see some of you at the Lake, but getting ready to head to a party/bbq around noon... looks like it's gonna be lots of fun. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/eusa_dance.gif

Be Safe Today, my friends...

I'll be at the Grizzlies game, it's a little more sane for me than Bass Lake, and I like the fireworks.

Then, gotta meet up with family at the Lake. They're all over by Rec Point for the day. Should be there in time for fireworks...

I did have fun at your new founded party friends. It was a bummer you had to leave early to take cristina to Bass Lake and I had to go home with Surfus. I say next time we should not bring them. We can have a lot more fun.

The only reason we left early is we had Big steaks and watermelon at home that we had bought yesterday just before Dogergirl told me about the party. We could not let it go to waste. I did miss leaving the pool and leaving you fun guys.
Monkey you are lots of fun we need to party with you more often. You work way too much.

I can not believe all the fireworks we saw and we did not have to leave our house to see them. I thought no way will we be able to see them I was wrong. It was really nice not having to deal with all the crazy people.

Thanks for sharing. The only fireworks we saw were the ones posted in this forum. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/cry.gif Cool shots!!!

Newcomer didn't want to brave the crowds at Bass Lake and from our place, can't see any fireworks... boo hoo...

Next year I'm going to Bass Lake with or without Newcomer! I want to see the works at least one time there. Haven't seen fireworks in the 3 years since we moved here.

We always go to the lake on the 4th. We leave early and spend the day there.
If you go with the right people it's lots of fun.

Nice Pics Rima! A couple of those party barges look mighty suspecious..... we got nailed with water cannons and water ballons by them. Our water cannon gunner was pitiful. I should have just sent up the white flag.
As usual, the fireworks were spectacular. I love the way the explosions echo off the mountains. We had the boat real close to the safety perimeter near the fireworks barge. I find a little fear adds to the excitment http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif

I love that they have the fireworks at the lake. A big thank you to all who set it up. We really lucked out, as we were about the 10'th car to be ushered out by the police after the grand finale and got home even before our friends - who went somewhere else because they were afraid of the traffic!

Here's a picture I'm happy with. You may have seen it in the Sierra Star.
