when you meet a guy for the first time, what is the first thing you do NOT want them to ask you? I hate it when they ask me what type of work i do, and when i tell them, they Leave. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif Custodian doesn,t not sound good, even when i say Head Custodian. But little do THEY know! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/shout.gif I proubly make more money then they do. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/eusa_dance.gif Looser!

I would much rather be asked questions about my work first...that is before they start asking the sex questions. No bigger turn off for me than to open with anything dealing with sex before learning other things about me....a lot of other things!!

I have heard people get mad when asked what they do for a living. Saying that they are just trying to find out how much they make, etc. To me it is a very valid question. After all, one is at their job for 8 or more hours a day and the kind of job they have is a huge insight to the type of person they are and what they enjoy.

I so agree. Talking about one's job can show all sorts of insight into a person, both negative and positive. Do they like what they do? Are they gossiping about co-workers? There is so so very much to learn about a person with just the small talk about one's job.

So many people I know aren't working what kind of job they'd like to or even are trained/educated for...in all reality often their job is an irrelevant factor. I'd rather like to know what they would be doing if they could do whatever they like and then maybe from there why they aren't doing that now perhaps. But unless someone is a producer of adult films or illegal arms or drug dealer or a fencer for stolen goods or something equally squirmy awful - does it REALLY matter?

I am sure you mean what job they have doesn't really matter, and no it for me, it doesn't. I have found that a person will tell you right off if they aren't working in their trained profession or if they are also going to school to be something else in the future etc. after I have asked them about their job. It is all just ice breaking small talk and all a part of the learning process that I so enjoy.

People may run off because somebody is a custodian, but you should see what it's like for morticians when they tell people what their job is! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

Well lets turn this thread to the positive...Like-"What would you like a person to ask you when first meeting?"

Something like... "So which do you prefer? Bud? Corona? Coors? Harvey Wallbangers? I can think of a couple of more nifty drinks but if I included them they might be considered a violation of Bgirlsworld rules. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif
