It's so straight right now...I just pull it under my baseball cap all the time..for those of you that know me ..what should I do? I need your advise

I love it the way it is!
But a really cool Cellophane of a deep burgandy or something like that weaved in would be really cool! I wouldn't go lighter Pata. Your black hair is shiny, luxurious and gorgeous. Trying to put blondish highlights into it isn't the way to go IMHO. But a hint of a red or deep burgandy overtone weaved in would look nice.
I think Carol at Revive is known for hair coloring. Mysteefied would know - she goes to her I think.
I was thinking of perming too - tired of the flat hair... but am I ready to reintroduce that 80's doo?? Hmmm...

What is a hair weave?
Caroline at The Beauty Spot has been doing colouring for longer than I have been alive. She is nice and Christian and gigglily too (she always makes me happy when I leave).
Perming? Egads, is that back "in"? I read in the Fresno Bee that tight pants (as in all the way to your ankles, they were talking FIVE INCH ankle holes) were "in" and are running for 500 plus dollars in boutiques in LA.
Yay, tight jeans, perms, shoulder pads, yikes!

I've been thinking it's getting close to the time where I'm going to need to break down and do something about the grey. I've been able to hide it fairly well...but it seem like the area is getting more spread out. It's weird that it's all basically to the right of my center part line... I part it on the left side and it's pretty well disguised. But hair moves and it's becoming more visible than I'd like. I've never dyed my hair, but thinking maybe I could just get the grey died to match the rest of my hair color or something. I may go to Revive, they've given us enough business. I owe them.

Marci, also at Revive does a fabulous job with weaves.

She's not in town, but Shannon at Louis Vargas in Fresno does a nice job with mine. It's a little pricey, but lasts quite a while in between visits. And she cuts it so I can actually make my hair look the same as it did when I walk out.

The only thing I go to revive for anymore is my nails by Laura B. She's the best.
I've always been happy with how Carol does my hair there.
I'm actually looking for someone knew right now. Just need a change.

Dawn at Leaping Lotus (formerly Sakani - now owner for Leaping Lotus in the same complex as Country Waffles) did my hair color once and I was really pleased with it. 559-658-5464

If it was up to all guys, we women would all have long, straight hair, no makeup and run around in flannel shirts or sweats!
Do what makes you happy and feel good about yourself! And in turn, that should make him happy... (cause you'll be in a better mood!) that's my motto! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

You are lucky that you have light hair and you can hide it. Since mine is dark, my greys stand out so much!! My sideburn areas are completely grey and also down the top part of my head. I have to color my hair every 3-4 weeks! I can't pull it back once the grey starts showing because it makes me look 10 years older. I have been dealing with greys since my early 20's. Good thing for Loreal Preference, $10 a month isn't so bad. I would go broke if I had to go in and get them covered once a month. I want to get a weave this summer to try and hide them a little. I heard about Marcy at Revive and also Dawn at Leaping Lotus. I will use one of those.

Those of you that know me, know that I don't have my hair done. Just isn't my style. I Was given a gift certificate for Sakani in 2000 by some well meaning friends. I caved to peer pressure and had Marci give me a weave. She did such a good job I even maintained it for almost 2 two years. Marci puts very few strands of hair in each foil...no large chunks ever and She does it so that it doesn't look hideous when and if you decide to grow it back out. All in all, I was very happy with it, but like i said it just isn't for me.

One reason I've put off doing anything to my hair is once when I was getting my haircut (I'm really bad about being regular with that even), the lady told me, "don't do it, because it (hair dye) kills your hair and you'll forever have to use expensive hair products to make it appear healthy"...As long as my grey is not too noticeable, I can deal...I can work with it. I don't know if I can trust myself to keep a coloring job up. I often wait 6 months to just get a trim.

that sounds like me..thats why I've put it off.it's tempting to have a change... but, have no grey hairs..yet... just a few once in a while that I have my kids pluck out with tweezers. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/anxious.gif I wonder if even highlights will damage my hair al that much.

I dont think my hair is any worse after having the weave. I think swimming every day in the summer does more harm than a weave. I use grocery store level of expensive products but not salon level expensive products. I don't blow dry but every once in awhile I do iron my hair. It is waist length soft curly bouncy and going gray. I just happen to like my gray and am excited about the wonderful shiny silver color it will one day be. I even have a natural Cruella Deville silver streak that I am quite fond of, but that is just me.
I saw a girl the other day with a gorgeous weave. I wish I had thought to ask her who did it. Thread hind site! LOL
