I can't remember the name of it but the two main stars were the guy who plays Monk (as a weird horror writer) and the guy who played Doogie Howser as his literary agent. (yes, I am too lazy to Google their names and how to spell them).

I still enjoy Carol Burnett reruns immensely when I see 'em...but nobody else must be as old as me here. What about Jackie Gleason, Ed Sullivan and no disrespect to JG but the GREATEST was Red Skelton, IMO. And then there was The Avengers. LOL - heck most of you Forum Folk prolly didn't even have parents one day to be walking yet then.

I remember when I was a kid staying up late on Saturday nights to watch "The Love Boat"...what a privilege. And Donny & Marie every Friday night...also a big fan of Sonny & Cher. Used to watch the Barbara Mandrell Show too... and Lawrence Welk (with my parents). I'd get on my mom's high heels and try to tap dance like Arthur Duncan. You just don't see musical/variety shows like that anymore. Definately a different era.

Davey & Goliath
Oh yes Newcomer, me and the kids loved that show. I liked how it always had a moral lesson and how the Dog would reply "I don't know Davey" whenever Davey might be on the verge of doing something wrong. To this day when I'm puzzled about something (and around my adult kids) I'll say "I don't know Davey" and they know exactly what I'm talking about. Anyone else would think I'm a real weirdo talking to a nonexistent Davey! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif

I forgot the Mary Tyler Moore show with her, Ed Asner, and Ted Knight.
All the shows you guys listed were great also. They all were a lot more fun to watch than all these reality shows on now. I don't watch TV to improve my mind. I watch it for entertainment.
