Here's Wolfie's hockey outing that she asked for. Group tickets are $15 each, in a good section. Because I'm a booster club member and on the All Star committee, you can PM me if you want tickets, and I'll arrange a group seating if there are enough interested. Otherwise, it's $20 each seat. There's also a Fan Fare after the game where players are out and about to meet fans. This will be a good clean hockey game with few if any fights; great event for little ones. (Except it's on a school night http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/embarassed.gif)
ALL-STAR GAME QUICK FACTS:
The Skills Competition will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24, and the All-Star Game will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Save Mart Center. Both events will start at 7 p.m.
National Conference vs. American Conference
ECHL league office selects All-Star players based on the number of votes received from ECHL coaches and players, as well as members of the media.
Each ECHL team is represented by at least one (1) player. (Fresno has 3 All-Stars this year, including one goaltender.)
Each conference team consists of 18 skaters and three (3) goaltenders.
Each conference will have two (2) coaches selected by fellow ECHL coaches through a balloting process.
The Skills Competition involves players competing for their conference in six skill events, including puck control relay, fastest skater, hardest shot, rapid fire shooting, accuracy shooting and breakaway relay.
Last season’s All-Star Game was available to more than 40 million homes on the America One Television Network and several regional sports networks in the U.S., as well as the NHL Network in Canada. More than 30 million of those homes were able to watch the game live.
