I go to Beacon...I"m there anyhow. Prices...well, the best price is either Beacon or AMPM, Vons is the same if you get the dicount. Daily price survey, and AMPM and Beacon always change to meet the others price.

I am not loyal to one gas station. Most of the time I go to Beacon. Sometimes, however, I go to Vons Gas if I'm on that side of town. Last time I filled up, it was at Chevron since I needed a car wash.

I used to buy my gas at AMPM but they quit carrying my Chonicle newspaper. I figured if I hadto go to Beacon to get my paper without having to pump a bunch quarters into a machine every day.Since I have to go to Beacon that I might as well buy my gas there too.

I go to Vons if I have to get gas up here, but I usually go to the AMPM by Childrens hospital after I get off work. It is anywhere from 10 to 20 cents cheaper than up here. http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/stretch.gif

On Saturday, the gas in the SFV was $2.43, and in Santa Maria it was $2.50

Beacon reopens tomorrow as Valero, the parent company. Thats ok. Heres the bad news, the new numbers are in for the new price sign, the district manager told up not to put the $3.xx diesel numbers too far away. He expects diesel to hit 3 a gallon really soon.

in Morro Bay.. gas is the same as the chevron in YLP... 2.65

I still refuse to go to 22Mile house... 2.75 for regular... and thats if they have it!! LOL.

but kids... remember.. petrol in uk is running $5.50 tp $6.00 a gal....
(that would be 80.9p per litre or £3.0742 per US gallon)

and thats NOT in London!!!!

I like Valero and those petrol stations cos they are argentinian petrol... .yeah, its not as good but still gets the A-rabs where it counts.. in the wallet!

Thanks Coldwolf. You answered my question of when you were going to be open again. I had never heard of Valero before so finding out it is South American oil explains a lot.

Yup, actually have been a Valero employee for over a year, closer to 2. Valero is a big importer of Argentinian oil. As far as I can tell, its an American company, traded on the NYSE (VLI). Also just signed agreements with PEMEX Gas (mexicos nationalized petrolium )
