A few months back, I went to Goldfields Cafe in Chuck and Nancy's...and had the most horrible time/meal. Well, I guess the dining gods heard me complain, cos on Monday night we went out there to Chuck and Nancys, and goldfields was the only place open for grub.. so in we walked. I got the steak and eggs breakie, and my partner got a pancake breakie (its midnight ok...).. the service was awesome, had a waitress with a sense of humour even. breakie for the two of us was only 20 bucks !!!
I was pleasantly surprised and also left with a full and happy belly. I even won 63 dollars on the slots (spent 5 bucks). woo hoo!

We've been to Goldfields a number of times - we've always had great service and good food - no complaints here... in fact, I forget they are there and shouldn't. (I do NOT like the food or service we've received in the 50's diner there though... will NOT go back.)
I really like the pot-roast.
We ALWAYS ask to sit in the back dining room - I like the view of the sun going down - usually there for dinner. Maybe the back dining staff is the way to go!

YW, maybe "breakie" is the way to go in that place. I was there twice for dinner and both times it was awful - everyone else with us agreed. I don't think I'm going to try it again ...... unless maybe breakie. What can you possibly do to mess up bacon & eggs?

The only thing I've really liked for dinner there is the quesadilla; especially the barbecued chicken one.
