Took my daughter in for the yearly poison oak appointment. whats funny is that Our Doctor said..the only thing I see your kids for is poison oak. same time.... same week as last year. that must be a sign that this is the worst time of year to get it. we've all had a bit of it these last couple of weeks. From petting the dogs. now I have to pet them with the bottom of my shoes.

Just about all the Poison Oak (that I havn't killed yet) on my property is just begining to leaf out. During the Winter when there are no leaves, I assume that all brown twigs and vines growing out of the ground are P.O. and don't touch it. This works for me. When there are leaves it's easy to avoid and spray with RoundUp. You can never get rid of it completely, because birds spread the seeds through their droppings.
I've been lucky. Don't think I have ever got "it" from my dog. I cringe when I see him in the thick of it.
