When I was a kid, I loved to play on the elevators in the hospital. I always stayed on the top (6th) floor, so when we took the elevator down, we would wait for 2 or 3 and all leave at the same time and race to the ground floor. I remember that I didn't like the elevator that had a rear door on it. It freaked me out for some reason. I thought all elevators should only have one entrance. I think it has to do with the fact the the rear door elevator went to the Operating Room.

I was at a convention at a hotel near Disneyland & we got stuck between floors in the glass elevator. My friend, who's crazier than I am, started to pry the doors open, but I just sat there & laughed at her. We had a bunch of people watching us, so it wasn't like we were gonna be stuck for long.
And yup, I, too remember those elevators which opened to the operating rooms at LA General, when I was a kid. Had a few surgeries there when I was about 6. But now I associate the double entrance elevators with Dodger Stadium. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif
