I live in Teaford Meadows and often go to Bass Fork Mini Mart instead of driving all the way to Oakhurst for something. I really like the feact that they have a deli with sandwiches and such. I like Bass Fork Mini Mart. I was wondering how others feel.

Had a weird experience recently. I went in to get gas & a Dr. Pepper on my way down to Fresno. My card wouldn't work at the pump, so I went in to ask them to turn the pump on. The lady behind the counter told me she turned the pump off because the last time I was there in my Green Suburban, I didn't pay for my gas. I told her I didn't have a green suburban, and I just needed to fill my tank & pay for my soda. She was really pissed off & told me I shouldn't lie about these things, that she would have to pay for it.
I do have a Multi colored Blazer, but have never put gas in it, Jack handles that. I'm always in my Subaru.
The lady informed me that I had been rude to her the day I supposedly didn't pay, that I sat outside & honked my horn for service........
That put the issue to sleep for me, anyone who knows me, knows I hate the horn! I've had my husband & my daughter reach over and honk at a rude or generally not paying attention driver, because I don't use the thing.
So, as for the service at the Bass Fork Minit market........not so good.
Up until this event I had always went there instead of town for things, the usually have a good selection, you know the essentials, BBQ sauce, Wine, Ice Cream, etc.
Now I will go to The Forks market when they're open, and although I might break down & stop at BFMM occasionally, I won't make it a practice anymore.
The cashier was really rude & it upset me for quite a while.

Food and selection is good, but somebody I know went in not too long ago and overheard an employee getting yelled at for no good reason other than the place was very busy and I guess the owner or whoever was harried. I suppose this sort of thing happens just about everywhere, though.

When I first started going there, the service was ok. Now that they are used to me, the service is much better and I guess this is just the personality of the management. Fuel prices are a bit high, but would rather pay a little more than drive to Oakhurst. I also get propane for a small tank, this is very handy compared to a long drive somewhere else.

This was in the Sierra Stars Crimewatch: Suspect arrested in North Fork for violating a restraining order against Gas N'Stuff Market. I sure hope this wasn't Dogergirl also. http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/wink2.gif
