Well Yee Haw and I don't mean the TV show with the banjo players! There is some good eatin' in Yosemite Lakes Park at the Blue Heron. Plumb surprized me.
Fer those of you that haven't been to the Blue Heron Restaurant, its an upscale restaurant with purty white lights strung around the room for that "romantic" look, if that's what you are in to and there is a nice cocktail lounge/bar next door too.

Well I bin debatin', should I'z go an post when's I'z already done it before. Well, I got to figurin, why not? Heck, consistency iz important too.
I had a hankerin for those deep fried artichoke hearts for months. Had to go git me some. Woo-wee, they were better 'n before even.
My review above, tells ya just what I think of this place. And, sure enough, nothing has changed cept' they even got a little better this time around.

The food is okay now, but I sure miss the old chef Dave Pol. You can sure tell he's not around any more. Deep fried artichokes will never be the same.....
(Sorry, accidentally edited you, but put it back)

We haven't made the trip over to YLP in a while to go to the Blue Heron. There is an off the menu dish called "Railroad Shrimp" It is awesome! It is kind of like a Chinese Chicken salad but with shrimp. The sauce they use is mouthwatering yummy! I also like going there for Easter Sunday to their brunch. We sit out on the patio and the kids do the egg hunt usually around 12:00. It is definately our plan to go this Easter http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/yes.gif

We noticed the Deep Fried Artichokes, that we crave, weren't as good - then we asked for extra butter/sauce and lemons on the side. Squeeze the lemons over it and they actually taste like they used to! (KK)

We had a great meal there last night. I had scallone, hubby had steak, one friend had salmon special and her husband had chicken. We were all VERY pleased with our meal. Service was also good. The chef said that the menu will be changing in a few weeks and he will be adding some things and removing others. Will definately go back.

I like it there, maybe because I'm partial to the local-feel of the bar, and I'm partial to the bartender too...I like the bands on Saturday, and the fact that it is like a mile from my house.
I love their brie appetizer, as well as the artichoke hearts...OMG those are SOOO good! The Blue Heron Chicken was REALLY yummy....
