I can't post a photo I don't have a digital camera or a scanner.

Double recliner is like a loveseat but two recliners side by side. Like I said the right recliner needs adjusted... Someone who is handy with tools I would guess like a clamp or something could fix it easily. When I first moved in I had no furniture, so we got the recliners second hand.

If you have alot of pictures you want to post, you could use a free photo upload site like www.Fotki.com (http://www.Fotki.com). (Thats the one I use but there are others..) Then just leave the link to where the pics are posted at here for people to go and take a look. You can add the feature for comments if you like, so when something is gone you can state so if you dont havet the time to delete it....Just a thought...

Okay, I have a kitchen table. It has been in my family for years. It has three chairs. the chairs are not in the best shape. the table can be refinished it is wood. heavy and sturdy. I would like to give it to someone who needs a table. it is a 200.00 just for the table. If you like to see it I will take a picture of it. but giving it to someone would make me happy who needs one.

I think I've put it here somewhere before, but I'm going to put it here again..

Here's the link to the official Freecycle website so you can learn more about it.
http://www.freecycle.org/

We have an Oakhurst Freecycle Group that you can be a part of!!

a little info about freecycle:
The Freecycle Network was started in May 2003 to promote waste reduction in Tucson's downtown and help save desert landscape from being taken over by landfills. The Network provides individuals and non-profits an electronic forum to "recycle" unwanted items. One person's trash can truly be another's treasure!

How does it work?
When you want to find a new home for something -- whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano, or an old door -- you simply send an e-mail offering it to members of your Freecycle group.

Or, maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself. Simply respond to a member's offer, and you just might get it. After that, it's up to the giver to decide who receives the gift and to set up a pickup time for passing on the treasure.

One main rule: Everything posted must be free, legal, and appropriate for all ages.

Non-profit organizations also benefit from The Freecycle Network. Post the item or items you want to give away and a local organization can help you get it to someone in need.

Free low carb/Atkins foods.

I cleaned out my cupboard, Starting a NEW diet and so I'm getting rid of all the low carb, and Atkins foods that I have. they are costly, so I can't bear to throw them out. SO if anyone wants them, I have a paper bag and a plastic shopping bag full. there are pasta's, soy chips, snack bars, just lots of stuff!

What new diet are you on (or considering)? I am on a "sort of" South Beach thing, but I am not following the rules, exactly. Like, I stay in Phase One and only very rarely venture into foods that would be allowed in the second or third phases. I did cheat and have turkey stuffing, cranberry sauce and some mashed potatoes at Christmas, but now I am back to being strict. I stalled out after a 16-pound loss, which occurred over a period of about 2 1/2 months. Guess I am gonna hafta add "exercise" to the mix now!

I saw the commercial on TV last night. The food looks really good on there. How is it (besides the cereal)?? They said the weightloss process is pretty quick with their nutritional setup. Seems pretty convenient too, because they send you 4 weeks of food at a time??? Keep me posted on how you are doing!

That's good to know, becuase I don't want to give up, but, gosh, I'm eating the cereal that smells like dirty socks right now. Hmm...Perhaps that could be a whole new thread, Mysteefieds Nutrisystem experience. HAHA </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I did the Nutrisystems a long time ago when i was 17 and they were new and the food was space food. it was good then and most likely better now. don't give up because i lost at that time 70 pounds and i looked great. now that i am older the weight is back on and i am thinking about going back... how much does it all cost you and all that.... so i can get a idea of it...

good luck....

My dad did Nutrisystem quite a few times...usually prior to a high school reunion or a summer family vacation. It always worked...he'd always just need to take off 30-35 lb, and with Nutrisystem he'd average a 3 lb loss a week...which means he'd be on it for abot 2 1/2 to 3 months. Unfortunately, after every successful weight loss, he'd gradually put it all back on without fail...so he did not do well with a regimented maintenance program and slipped back into his old ways of heavy snacking and juicy burgers. I've heard too that if you lose it quick, it's easier to pack it back on (your body wants it back!)...I believe staying slim is a forever lifestyle. When I chose to drop 25 lb of mommy-fat, I took the healthy eating approach with excercise and I lost on average 5 lb a month...requires more patience than Nutrisystem's 12 lb a month!

Nutrisysytem is a good way to get where you want to be in a relatively short amount of time. Maintaining is the hardest part.

I stick with Weight Watchers... it allows you to do real food.. make your own recipes with real food.. you just have to make low fat etc recipes. eating frozen tv dinners just dont do me for a diet.. cos after eating frozen cardboard..... i want to gorge on steak and taters.
WW has great recipes.. real stuff.. that you cook yourself.
I usually lose 10 lbs at a time.. then i get lazy.. its not the diet at fault but the dieter in my case.

this topic shouldn't be in the classified section. Needs to be moved to health and wellness. Unless your selling a diet product.

I wasn't selling anything, I was giving away some diet foods.
Original Post:
Free low carb/Atkins foods.

I cleaned out my cupboard, Starting a NEW diet and so I'm getting rid of all the low carb, and Atkins foods that I have. they are costly, so I can't bear to throw them out. SO if anyone wants them, I have a paper bag and a plastic shopping bag full. there are pasta's, soy chips, snack bars, just lots of stuff!

yes, I still have it, if you want it, I might be able to find a day to drop it off, or if there is a day you can pick it up, let me know.
Thanks!

White picket fence for anyone who wants to come pick it up off the ground. It's intact, just the previous owners kind of threw it in the ground to make the house look better for sale so it's wobbly. The wind yesterday knocked some of it over, but there's a lot of fence to be had.
Don't even knock on the door, just help yourself.

I have a patio wrought iron frame for free. The last storm did in the canvas top and as far as I know there's no way of ordering another replacement. So, if anyone needs the frame, come and get it!

Well, if you want to see it fine - PM me. You can come by most any time this weekend. I'm giving up on replacement, etc. Just going to get an umbrella table so I can take it down during bad weather. I live in Ahwahnee.

OMG I can't believe you are going to get rid of that couch. Are you talking the big comfortable one? The one that people love to sleep on? So are you trying to discourage overnight guests, or what? hahaha
