In addition to my previously noted travels, I have traveled extremely many miles cruising around Calif. Once I drove the full length of Hwy 49 just for the heck of it. Imust gotten the bug from my father. He liked to go for Sunday drives. We would have late breakfasts on Sunday, finishing up around 10AM or so. This one Sunday we got in the car and took off and wound up in Yosemite. This happened twice. You might not think that was much, but must cinsider that we lived in San Jose so it was close to 300 miles. We didn't just drive to the valley but all through it. Once it was winter and we stopped and had a snowball fight.
