I'll try to help...
First, I think the polls only allow 5 options.
Second, if you are the person that created a topic and your logged in, look for this icon on the same line as the date of your message...

I'm not sure if you can edit polls.
If you have any questions or comments, please email me mathew@oakhurstonline.com.

Oakhurst Online banks with Bank of America in Oakhurst. They are always polite and helpful. They were a bit difficult to deal with in the begining when the account was new. They would hold deposits for a week before making money available. Now that the account is a few months old and has good history, they push the deposits through in a timely manner.
If you have any questions or comments, please email me mathew@oakhurstonline.com.

I used to bank with United Security. Used to. I do not recommend them at all. They cannot make any decisions locally and your money is not being used in this town or even this county. It all goes straight to Fresno!

I have tried Bank of America however, I was very dissapointed in the way the had no people skills. So I went to Washington Mutual and I have not been dissatisfied at all. They are helpful as well as courtious and whenever I get a chance I point people who are looking for a new bank their way. Not only do they have great account plan they also have the best customer service for a bank I have ever seen.

Bank of Madera County is by far the best here....I have banked at most of the others and there is not even a slight comparison to the service one gets at Bank of Madera. It is geared to locals, has supurb personal service and isn't run by some corporation somewhere... the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient....How many of you recieve a phone call personally from the bank if something is amiss in you account??? I bet not too many...most banks for instance send an overdraft notice via snail mail which can take up to 10 days to reach you depending on which bank you use. If you want to experience the best bank....open an account at Bank of Madera.
Whatever you do, Enjoy it!! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/grin2.gif

I found that Washingtone Mutual the most helpful and user-friendly. The staff are friendly and the way that their accounts are set up you can hardly go wrong.

Washington Mutual for checking and savings, but I found United Security more helpful in the area of loans.

Wash.Mutal is a joke.. i won't ever bank with them again....
B of A has the rudest people in a bank... I have had nothing but trouble with them.. they DO NOT have PEOPLE SKILLS at all.. they need to pay there employees extra so they can take a class on how to treat customers...
Yosemite Bank is the best of all in Oakhurst and Coarsegold... they have people there that treat you well and always helpful.....

Yosemite Bank is the best one up here in my opinion. They have always been very courteous and helpful. They don't hold the ckecks forever waiting for them to clear like so many others do.

I have done some business deals with Washington and they made a several mistakes on paperwork, and are very bad on follow up......
but as for banking/savings I do everything online, my main banker is with Wells Fargo and I never had a problem in over 20 years. http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/pleased.gif

I've never had trouble at BofA. In fact, my mom went in ther a couple of weeks ago to do some business & the teller followed up with a personal card. Maybe they're realizing there has been trouble in the past & working on it???
Oh, and by the way, the son in law got a job at WaMu a couple of months ago. He's a pretty nice guy, if you have trouble, go to him....Justin
Tell him his mother in law sent you (he'll love that) http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/rolleyes2.gif http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/shocked.gif http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/rolleyes2.gif

Central Valley Community Bancorp on Monday announced plans to purchase Bank of Madera County for $12.4 million.
The deal, if approved by regulators and Bank of Madera County shareholders, would become the first acquisition for 25-year-old Central Valley, the parent company of Central Valley Community Bank.
Through the acquisition, the Clovis-based bank is continuing its strategy of growing along Highway 99, said company President and CEO Daniel Doyle.
Bank of Madera County has branches in Oakhurst and Madera.
Doyle said many of the bank's business customers are in the two communities. "In order to keep them, we're going to continue to grow with them," he said.
The bank also announced plans to open a branch in downtown Fresno at 2400 Tulare St.
Central Valley would operate 10 branches after the merger and the opening of the downtown office.
In 2002, the bank opened branches in Sacramento and Kerman. Other branches are in Clovis and Prather.
Central Valley, as of June 30, reported assets of more than $350 million, about six times more than Bank of Madera County.
The acquisition, expected to close in the fourth quarter, gives Bank of Madera County's fewer than 200 shareholders the option of receiving all stock or cash.
Under the deal, Central Valley will pay no more than 261,053 shares of stock. If total stock requests exceed that limit, Bank of Madera County shareholders will receive cash. The amount of total cash paid has been capped at $6.2 million.
Central Valley stock was unchanged at $23.70 in trading Monday on Nasdaq.
Bank of Madera County's seldom-traded stock was recently selling for about $14 a share, said bank CEO Fred Brylka.
