"George Ernest Petersen, known as "Pete" and "Coach" passed away Feb. 2, 2006.
He was born Feb. 19, 1920 to Danish immigrants.
Pete was a dearly loved coach at Cabrillo Jr. High School, from 1953 to 1980.
He is preceded in death by brothers Al and Bud and sister Dagmar.
His living sister is Ruth Bridges of Thousand Oaks.
Pete is survived by his loving wife Gladys; eight children and 24 grandchildren. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will held Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The church is located at 50690 Road 426 in Oakhurst."
