I like to get a head start on the colder 'hopefully wetter' weather ahead. Any one have any good recomendations for wood this year.

Looks to me like he's just keeping the prices fair. They seem in line with others prices I saw last year. I'd buy some, but I'm never home and when I am, I get my oak wood free from my dad, LOL. It's that time of the year to start thinking about your wood supply for the winter. I prefer to burn oak or almond. Don't really care for the pine, burns to fast and seems to gunk up my chimney faster, don't know if that's true or just my "prejudice" against the pine.

I noticed that josseycakes' post was from last year, don't know if they are still in the business or not, but I buy our firewood from the Fish Camp Fire Dept. A cord is $200.00 and the money goes for a good cause.

Oops, that's what I get for reading without my reading glasses. Old age creeping up again, sorry.

Monkey.. do they deliver? And can you provide information how to buy from them? I would love to buy from the fire dept... but wonder if they deliver down to YLP.

I think the number is 683-7223. If not, they can give you the right number. They delivered to us, but would probably charge for delivering down the mountain.

Thanks Monkey. I am expecting a kick butt winter this year.... being that last year was like living in San Diego. LOL.

Very interesting. I wonder if the Cedar Valley FD does this, too?
