How about both...

Timid Drivers - like the person doing 35 in a 50 zone driving for 20 miles with their left turn signal on the entire time AND tapping their brakes every 50 feet.

or

Agressive Drivers - tailgating, passing on blind curves with a cell phone in one hand and a Big Mac in the other.

Personally - both should stay off the road so I won't have to deal with either one http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/crazya.gif

I'll say timid drivers, cause sometimes they make the aggressive ones come out of hibernation, then ya gotta deal with both of them.

I'd say they're both horrible, but I think timid drivers are more dangerous if they're indecisive as well. I think overly aggressive drivers tend to be more dangerous to themselves overall, but a timid, indecisive driver for instance, making a left turn across a lane that stops half way because someone's coming is pretty bad.

Aggression is dangerous http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/rant420.gif

Timid is unsure http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/freak.gif

If I had a driver coming up from the rear, than I'd say aggression is unsafe http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/rant420.gif.

If I had a timid driver coming at me from the opposite direction , that's unsure http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/doh.gif

I think that my choice would be Aggressive is unsafe and a worse threat than a timid driver http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/wow1.gif.

I'd say timid is the most dangerous, and here's why. Usually, when watching aggressive drivers, I can guess what they will do. They're predictable. Timid drivers are not, and will do really "whack" things, when you are not expecting them to.

While aggressive drivers are dangerous to be around, and I choose for NEITHER, if it were an option, I pay extra attention to the timid drivers.

Oh, which am I? hmm....LOL

Timid drivers (and I'm not talking about people who do the posted speed limit) are worse since they slow traffic and usually cause people to make lane changes more frequently or pass when they might otherwise not.

At least aggressive drivers if allowed to pass will get the heck out of your way and speed ahead of you so you don't have to deal with them once they get their way.

I think they are equally bad, but for different reasons. Aggressive drivers may be more likely to get a case of "road rage" and start doing things to "get back" at somebody, to "teach them a lesson," to "show off" or just vent anger in general that might have nothing to do with driving.
The timid ones who crawl along at 15 mph and still hit the brakes every few seconds really DO cause aggression to come out in other drivers, and they make you want to yell, "Geez, piss or get off the pot!"
It's hard to pick which one is worse.

I think both of those kind of drivers are bad.

I voted aggressive, even tho I'm a pretty aggressive driver. I take chances I shoulden't, usually with going to fast around corners and curves. BUT! I don't pass in illegal areas, I wear my lap and harness, don't cross either the center or the fog line(thats what that white line on the side is called). I also slow down if there is someone in the car with me, drive sedately if there is rain, snow, fog, or any other adverse condition. My aggression is only in my own lane, and NEVER towards anyone else driving slow or timidly. I might ***** and moan about the slow ones, but I won't take any angry action toward them. My mom and dad taught me that people should never drive faster than they are comfortable with. So I understand some people are uncomfortable with regular speeds. And our community is becoming more and more a retirement area, with elders that have slower reaction times. I'd rather have them drive a little slower and getting there safely, than driving faster than they know they can react. I might not like to gop the slow speeds thay do, but its better than having more traffic fatalities than we already do. Nothing going on in my life is so important that I can't slow down a little for a timid or unsure driver.

I don't take anger into my driver seat.
But I know most aggrssive drivers do.
