Looks like the "For Sale" signs have finally come down - Yarn Barn has a sign up indicating that they're clearing out. Does anyone know more details?

Oh no! The Yarn Barn was the only place where I used to get yarn and stuff! Ack, now what am I gonna do? What a gyp!
As far as the bar goes, I have managed to not need to visit there.

I wonder what she's going to do with all that stuff.

Cat - there's a new yarn shop in Coarsegold sharing the building with Sandy's Salon. Haven't dropped in yet myself cuz they aren't open yet when I'm on my way to work and closed when I'm going home. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/sad3.gif

Seem to remember seeing something about a new yarn shop in the STAR? Was it a new business spotlight?

The employees have heard nothing of the sort. I will make a call in the morning!

Just got off the phone with the owner. It's not sold...it's not closing. That includes the bar and the yarn barn. He said it was just another vicious Oakhurst rumor.

I had heard a WalMart was going in at the Oak Room and a Target at the Yarn Barn http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif

Well, I guess that means the rumor about Costco must be false!

Very interesting! The owner should know, of course, but the For Sale signs are down and there was a big clearance sign out front...
Thanks for the info!

Maybe the Yarn Barn is just trying to move discontinued merchandise. I'm a Yarn Barn shopper...but I hate that their business hours are so limited. The shop's only open 4 days a week, and on those 4 days...3 days 10-4 and 1 day 10-1. Sometimes I'll get there at 10:15 on a business day and the place isn't even open. Urgh.
