I clicked the link that started this thread, but went to the How Smart are you Quiz. When I finished, it wanted my cell phone number, which I was unwilling to give. Then I couldn't get back off the site and couldn't even close my web browser. Even A reboot (CTR_ALT_DEL) wouldn't work. I had to pull the plug on my computer.

That's just not right!

I have undeleted and reopened this thread. There is nothing wrong with the link. Perhaps what occurred is that someone accessed a link for one of the ads featured, and not the correct quiz.
Additionally, in the future, it would be useful if a member has an issue with a thread that a Moderator actually be CONTACTED, rather than the posting of a "warning". :yes:

As I explained, I followed a different link from the same page. The one that went to "How Smart are you Quiz." If you are saying that you were able to follow that link, take the full test, and then not provide a cell number, and were still able to get free - Then I will say perhaps the problem I had was unique to me or the time I did it.

RedMule, The link thats provided takes you straight to the test page, for "How Normal are you", and not the other page you selected when you got there. There is no need to follow any other link.
I believe you may have hit an advertising link by mistake. :)
Sorry you had a problem with it, its kinda fun!

O1AF, I went back and re-read my prior emails and I said exactly what I meant to say.

To repeat:
I went to the indicated page, and saw ANOTHER link on the same page that led to a quiz that said, "How Smart are you?" I followed THAT link and took THAT quiz and had a problem. I merely posted a warning against the How Smart are you quiz.

I never said I had a problem with the "How Normal are you?" quiz. I skipped it because, like dessertros874, I already knew I wasn't normal. :)

I just did a little research and under the "964 More Quizzes" there is one that says, "Are You a Genius?" (Sorry, I remembered the name wrong the last time.) I clicked it again, thinking if I didn't actually take the test I would be OK. NOPE! This time I got the message again a couple of times and when I still insisted on changing the page, it only crashed my browser. So, my warning stands.

The first time I saw this link it was on the SAME page the recommended link was and I didn't have to go find it. I think many of the other quizzes shown do rotate. Anyway, that was my experience. Even in my early education, I insisted in coloring outside the lines.
