AP: Pam Anderson and Kid Rock are back on and getting hitched (:31)
NEW YORK (AP) - Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock, now vacationing in St. Tropez, France, will marry July 29 on a yacht near the glamorous hotspot, Us Weekly magazine reported Tuesday on its Web site.
Anderson confirmed the good news in an entry in her online diary: "It's been a whirlwind ... spontaneous but well thought through."
When contacted by The Associated Press, Marleah Leslie, Anderson's spokeswoman, declined to comment on the report.
Photographs posted on the Internet show Anderson, 39, and Kid Rock, 35, embracing and enjoying the sun on the coastline of France.
The actress and the rock star, whose real name is Bob Ritchie, became engaged in the Las Vegas desert in April 2002, but never set a wedding date. They broke up the following year.
Anderson and her first husband, Tommy Lee, divorced in 1998 after three years of marriage. They have two sons, Brandon, 10, and Dylan, 8.
Kid Rock has a 13-year-old son, Bob Jr.
"Feels like I've been stuck in a time warp," said the "Baywatch" bombshell in her cryptic diary entry. "Not able to let go of MY family picture ... it's been sad and lonely and frustrating ... I've raised my kids alone in hope of a miracle.
"Well my miracle came and went. And came back and back because he knew that I'd wake up one day and realize that I was waiting for nothing."
Anderson, basking in soon-to-be-wedded bliss, said her sons "know the truth" - whatever that means - and love both Lee and Kid Rock.
"I'm moving on," she declared. "I feel like I'm finally free ... I'm in love."

I disagree, I don't believe Hollywood marriages are fantasy... take a look at some of those that have outlasted the odds...
Kevin Bacon
Mel Gibson
Paul Newman
Kirk Douglas
Michelle Pfieffer
Tim & Faith
George Lopez
Chris Reeve
crap, even Julia Roberts is working it out...
While I too wonder how their marriage will ever survive why is it we doom them to failure practically before they even get married?
I really hope it works for them, she's basically just a soccer mom with a cool job, and he, well, he's the Kid... http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/rolleyes2.gif
Why wouldn't they deserve the same happiness we would wish upon almost anyone else?

ya I thought about Mel and Paul..out of the thousands of celebrity couples .But there are only a handful of successful famous marriages. They live in a totally different world then we do. Way too much temptation. and Pamela ? She's not just a soccer mom but more of what men or boys call a "MILF" with a killer bod that men drool over......I really hope the best for them but...I DUNNO?...we'll see huh?

Aw, Pata, I bet there's some guys out there who call you the same thing... http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/shocked.gif
Someday I'll tell you a funny story of the MILF thing...
And, comparatively speaking, how many 'normal' marriages are performed each day? How many last?
just a thought...

Um, how do I know this........Well she runs her own my space account. On her info that is what it said. I myself was pretty surprised. She also has her account taken off often for being to pornographic.
Your next question will be "how do you know she runs it" Like most people she proves it with a pic of herself and her space number.
She also has very personal pics of her kids with Tommy and Kidrock.
Anymore questions?

Don't assume you would ever know my next question, those who know me know this is not an easy thing to do. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/rolleyes2.gif
I still believe she's a good mom, and her son does (or at least used to) play soccer. Guess that would make her a soccer mom...
Anyway, I still wish them the best of luck, after all of those years with Tommy she deserves it. He's definately a Brat.

I knew I shouldnt have read this thread. Now I have to participate in it. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/doh.gif
First off, I dont normally get too into celebrity lifestyles. Sure, celebs are interesting because they seem to live this fantasy, but really they are mostly overpaid people with real life drama just like the rest of us.
Second, I have a friend who works with Pamela Anderson regularly. She goes on about how "normal" she is in person. She says that Pamela is actually soft-spoken and kind. Good for her. She truly is a soccer mom who happens to be famous and not very modest about her sexuality. Which brings me to my third point.
I know lots of soccer moms. They come from all walks. I know a few bi/gay soccer moms. I know a few soccer moms who have or still are using their sexuality to provide for said soccer kids. And I think you would be surprised at the number of soccer moms who are swingers. Its not a crime to have an active sex life. Its not something to condemn others over either. I live in Oakhurst/Ahwahnee btw. I say if you got it, flaunt it. Your life does not end the day your child goes into soccer.

Hah! I learned a long time ago not to take "anything" any celebrity says for gospel. Everything, and I mean everything is orchestrated. They have agents, lawyers, etc. screen everything before they post, talk, etc. I know that Pam has had pictures, etc. of her being the soccer mom - and maybe that is true - and maybe it isn't. One thing for certain is the marriages most often do not last. You can list the exceptions, but come on, 90% at least, do not last. I applaud the true "soccer moms" and you guys know who you are. You're not celebrites, etc., you're just regular moms trying to gear your kids in a good direction. Stop trying to "glamorize" people like Pam Anderson - they don't need it. I think the true wonderful soccer moms are like right here in Oakhurst, Ahwahnee, No. Fork, Coarsegold, etc. And, you're all beautiful!

And 90 percent of 'normal' marriages don't last either. (Where'd we pull that statistic out of???)
The topic here was not trying to Glamorize Pam Anderson or anyone else. It is about her marriage & my point was why do people automatically dismiss it as a failure before it even has a chance?
My boys never played soccer, but they did play T ball & I'm divorced from their Dad... can't glamorize that...
And, out of a random sampling of OOF members, I'll wager you'll find many are divorced, at least once.
So, maybe her boys (and their game of choice) is all a marketing ploy to sell more posters...http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/duh.gif
So, if this thing goes off as planned, (maybe it's all a marketing plan also) I think I'll post a best wishes on Pam's myspace. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/cool4.gif

Makes you wonder if stars and celebrities ever think of marriage as anything but a publicity stunt.
