Now that I'm in the city most of the time, I walk Kato every evening. We have a park a few blocks away. Kato is very shy about pooping in front of people. So, he likes to go way deep into bushes to poop. Nobody can find his poop. I'm not about to go climbing through all of the bushes to pick it up either. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/lol.gif

In SoCal if you have a gardener they will take care of that. Up here none of us are beneath picking up **it but it helps if you have a beer and a bloody mary in hand. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif

Interesting business concept. Saw that very same thing on King of the Hill recently. I no longer have any dogs (my future goal is to become pet-free), but the ones I used to have always had several acres to "go" on. I guess a dog-poop-pickup service could work out in certain instances, especially in urban areas.

But the way I am thinking, by the time I made a call to inquire about the details and cost, set up a schedule, gave directions/instructions (such as "be sure to jiggle the latch on the back gate"), made sure the pickup person could gain access to the yard whether or not I was home, then made payment arrangements, etc. etc., it would have been a lot less trouble, time and money to just go out and clean it up myself.

Before I moved back to Oakhurst, I would be out in my yard and the neighbor across the street would let his dog out and watch the dog poop on my lawn. He just laughed at me when I asked him to stop. So, one night I gathered up the mess and gift-wrapped it in a real pretty package and left it on his porch. I thought putting it in a paper bag and setting it on fire has been overdone.

When we had a condo in the Conejo Valley - NO JOKE - I was on the HOA Board and we were sued about 5 times by one owner who said his neighbor would let their dog out and poop in the common area daily. Since the owner wouldn't pick it up, he would... and he'd have it videotaped, so he could charge the HOA money every time for doing so.

I was the one who had to go to court the last time he sued us. The judge didn't even give me more than 3 seconds to speak (we were the last case of the day before he was going on vacation). He found for the plaintiff. I talked to him in the parking lot afterwards and said, what can we do to end this madness. He said, pick up the poop- so we paid the landscaper to do so and he never sued again...

Our dogs poop is not invisible, occasionally I see it here on our 5 acres... so, you all tell me the secret? Feed your dogs invisible food?
