OK last night I had to DJ a dance for a church that is trying to raise money to build a new kitchen so they can do weddings and such.Well they had a live auction and a silent auction and did well. When we got there lace bid on some 2 Peacocks well no one else bid on them so now we own them. I am not sure what the dogs will think of this but hey they better leave them alone

I had a couple come into my garage one time. They are noisy little critters. Dog chased them. But then, she chases anything.

Messy, I think when you lived in Ahwahnee you lived near me (right off the 601) and those were probably your peacocks that came into my garage that day. My grandson was visiting at the time and when he came in and told me there were peacocks (or maybe it was one peacock) in garage I thought he was teasing me until I heard it squawking when the dog saw it!

Rachel has a mortal fear of peacocks - live, in photos or art, feathers, ANYTHING at all to do with them. When she was a toddler we were at a petting zoo and one flew over her head at something behind her and she was sure it meant to attack her. She can't be anywhere that anything relative to a peacock is present.

So I guess any NBC programming is taboo then huh?

My oldest son actually got flogged by a huge goose when he was about 2 or 3. It didn't cause any lasting trauma, though.
We had a peacock about 15 years ago that used to attack the kids and anyone else he felt like. He was a dangerous bird! hahaha I have no idea why he was so mean, but he was. The kids would carry a branch to swat him away when they went to the bus stop. Course, my kids were in high school at the time, so they could take care of themselves. One day the dogs escaped from their yard and did the peacock in! I think I was the only one who mourned! hahaha
