I'm curious to know who the Scott Loberg, Beverly Scott and James Watkins supporters will vote for now between the two remaining candidates.

I was thinking that very thing, because if the voters of the others swing toward Tony it could drastically change the outcome....If we want Tom supervisor than we need to promote him

You people need to wake up! Tom Wheeler is a puppet for Station Casinos who want to be sure they do not get any opposition to build their MEGA Complex Casino. Wheeler lives off of California Grant Money he gets through the various "committees" he is on or alimony from his ex wife. His only claim to fame is winning a log jamming championship! Tony Ward is a highly educated and experienced engineer who is passionate about what will happen to our community and it's residents. Ask the people who live on the River Creek Golf course who fought to bring it back. He's fought off every irresponsible developer who just wanted to build and make money and didn't care what happened to the land. Don't be fooled by Tom Wheeler...he's in it for the money!

Your right people do need to wake up in this community. They need to know the facts about what is going on and stop listening to people who spread gossip and claim it to be truth. The first statement about Tom Wheeler being âa puppet for station casinosâ is a bold faced lie invented to mask the true Casino puppets, Gary Gilbert and Tony Ward. It was under their supervision that the casino was built south of Coarsegold. It was under their supervision that they were allowed to construct that huge sign along 41. It is with their help and support that the casino has planes to build a tower with 200+ more rooms and a 5 level parking garage. Those 200+ new rooms require an additional 70 gallons of water a minute in an area that Tony Ward says has a water shortage. Sounds very hypocritical of him to support this new casino project and complain there is a water shortage in the same area. In conjunction with what Gilbert and Ward have already done for the casino it is a known fact that Gilbert will be taking a job as a consultant for the casino when he steps down from being a supervisor; how convenient for him to have that job lined up and how convenient for the casino that when they hire Gilbert their also hiring a his long term Puppet Tony Ward. If anyone deserves the title of âStation Casino Puppetâ it is these two.

Huh?
I really wish there were real facts about these men online and/or in newspapers, etc. I have no idea about either man, and am not going to take single person's argument/insult towards one candidate or another. It is too bad that the local papers don't get into debates too much, and write articles paraphrasing the debates (without much spin one would hope).

If you want facts about what Tom Wheeler stands for you can view his web site at http://www.wheelerforsupervisor.com/
Also he has a blog attached to it so if you have any questions feel free to ask and he will answer them on the blog.

It seems to me that all I hear are complaints about County government, and Tony Ward has been part of the problem. I don't know if Tom will do a better job, but I think it is worth a try.

Wonders who the exwife is? Last I knew he was still married. And if he wasn't she wouldn't be paying alimony LOL

Oh, they are getting a divorce alright. Itâs been fairly nasty. Been a couple of calls to the law regarding his behavior. âCourse that is nothing new for him, he had a couple of the female renters at the ranch report that he wanted âalternateâ forms of rent payment as well as some alcohol related arrests.

All I know is that Wheeler sure seems to have alot more money to spend on advertising. If a campagne is won on the name recognition factor, he will win as I see his name all over the place.

Maybe he's got a good friend or a loyal supporter in the sign business...sometimes it's who you know.

Gee "Concernedlocal"...I'm very flattered that you joined our forum just to respond to my post about Wheeler. You wouldn't be one of Wheeler's "boys" would you? You obviously haven't got a clue on what you are talking about. But rather than respond to your ridiculous lies, I would rather answer the intelligent people like YJ, YW and JJ who have asked for a factual bit of information about the candidates in order to make an informed decision. So hold on to your hats folks...there is a Webpage coming that will answer your questions and there will be no "fibbin". Just the facts. Uncut and documented. In the meantime, you can visit Tony's site (a work in progress) at Tony Ward Online (http://www.tonywardonline.com). Oh, and by the way, has Tom heard from the A.S.P.C.A. yet? They almost choked when he was asked his position on Spaying and Neturing dogs and cats and he blurted out "I've personally neutered more than 100 cats around the ranch myself" (without anesthesia). What a guy! I'll let you all know when the Info Page is published. Any related(factual)information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm not going to get emotional about it. I'm not going to get into the charges and coutner-charges, but I am supporting Tom Wheeler. I know both candidates. I like and respect them both. I consider them both good choices but I think that Tom is a better choice of the two.

Ask yourself why is all the big developers and real estate people backing Wheeler. They are spending big money to make more money for their ownself's. All this crap about Tony Ward is this and that is just that crap from the big money boys. They want to over-develope and make more money, no concerns for what the comm.unity will end up like. Just MONEY,MONEY,MONEY. If you want the mountain area to stay rural with good sound planned growth and inter-struture, then vote for Tony Ward

I don't have a dog in this hunt, since I vote in Palo Alto, but I have to admit that I've been wondering what "Property Rights. Common Sense. Conservation." is really code for?
I don't know, I'm wondering.
Property rights is usually code for "I can do whatever I want on my land" - anti-zoning. That seems opposite of the usual interpretation of "Conservation"...
So, aside from all the personal innuendo that's being discussed here, what *are* the issues? They affect me, even if I can't vote.
Thanks.

I know something, but I promiced Tony that I would keep my mouth shut. Tony told me, he wanted to run a clean campaign and no mud slinging, Too Bad, Because Wheeler is a real jerk and B.S. I guess you people will have to do some looking at the facts and make your own decisions. Just remember if you want this area to look like Houston,TX with no zoning and having the Developers run the county, then vote for Mr. Wheeler Dealer. If you love the trees and greenery, mountains and open space, all the reasons you probably moved here in the first place, then vote for Tony Ward. The only honest person running for a public office I've ever met. The reason you don't see a bunch of phoney endorsement for Tony, like Tom has is each one of those endorsement comes a promised favor. Tony wants to become a Supervisor with no obigations except to the people of District 5

Regarding this election: Please read the letter from Dr. Joseph Chudy posted under "Local Issues". It pretty much sums it up.

or go to Tony Wards website: http://www.tonywardonline.com
Whatever your opinion, on November 7th, excercise your right to vote. It's your privelege and your vote really does count. Remember, if you don't vote....don't complain.
