Make a list of the things you want, post it here. If someone decides to get you something, they copy the list and make some kinda mark to show that its been purchased.

It's for mostly people that aren't on here and some aren't really online....
(did that make sense? i've got 9:00 brain)

Do a wedding, since you'll be wanting stuff probably that people would get for their house as in wedding, they might things its even stranger that you want a toaster...just an example...for a baby shower.?

unless of course they know that Tot prefers Toasted Baby in the morning http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif...... ok, that was evil. I think she should register Wedding.... then when ppl ask where the husband is.. she can say "He's on the bottom of my list" under "workshop essentials". ROFLMAO!

Oh Wolfie; now that was good. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/rofl5.gif
Well TOT, you don't need baby things so wedding it is.
I already have an idea on what to get you and its not a receiving blanket. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/idea3.gif

She could say he's busy with his job as a throwover http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif

Im with everyone else. Wedding registry will mean more things for the house. Baby registering will give you a house full of diaper genies. I think you should make a list for people who will naturally stray from the registry. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif

Yep, wedding...since you are now committed to your trailer.
Do the Target register deal and then print out your list and post it here like Cold Wolf suggested. The brand names and model numbers etc show up on these print outs...making it possible for those that can't get to a Target or can't shop online still able to fulfill your wishes and wants. Hmmm, is in bad taste to make copies of the registry print out and add them to any invitations you might send out?

http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif Target registries come with little cards you stick in invites saying you're registered there.
At this point, considering i'm moving into a "vintage" 400 sq ft mobile home STILL on my parent's property, and throwing it (Janie) a baby or wedding shower - i don't think "taste" is relevant anymore http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/rofl5.gif

LOL! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif TOT you are so funny. I think it is a great idea to do the registry at Target, I have one tip though, having been experience with their registry, don't register too early because then things get discontinued and when people get the list they can't find any of the items. Have had this problem numerous times.
But I still think it is a good registry and idea for you to do.
Good luck and enjoy it, it can be a lot of fun!
Oh and you'll need to post pictures of Janie soon; so why the name Janie? (I like it by the way, just curious.)

1) what is too early? is 2 months too early?
2) i'm waiting to get her a little more cleaned up before i take pictures to show everyone.
3) i decided to name it because it was becoming difficult to refer to it as the "new 1958 mobile home thingy", as opposed to the "old one" i was living in. and the "other trailer"/"sister's trailer"... and the one that my parent's have their house being built around. the only name that seemed to fit was janie. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/yes.gif

The two people who have known me the longest say "baby"... so i'm waiting for my seester's response. The other place i posted this poll mostly said baby http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif. So she's the tie breaker.
Bed, Bath & Beyond has a housewarming registry (thanks DG!), but everything is quite expensive and the only thing so far that i want is out of stock http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/rolleyes2.gif
She sure is a dirty baby or spouse http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif

Which would you rather have?
The dirty baby?
Or the "dirty" spouse?

Two months is probably ok, but I think one month would be better, it seems that there are always people (including myself) who wait until the last week/day of the party to do their buying, people may go and look early, but may not actually buy the gift until it is almost the last minute.
Well good luck on your cleaning Janie, hope she looks bright and shiny soon. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

Well, so...
My sister said "wedding" so "wedding" it is. So i'm registering for a wedding without getting married for the 3rd time. Woohoo.
Anywhoo... i'm in the process of registering online. Will hopefully go to Fresno soon!
Thanks for all your help http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/yes.gif

Hey TOT, I was recently thinking about you and your registry, is it still up? Have you had your shower yet? How is Janie doing?
TOT

well....
i'm sleeping there now. but that's about the only progress i made. the 'shower' will be either in november or sometime in '06. heck, i can't even get the futon pad back on the futon. i need to borrow dodgergirl's guys (and also, ya know, get the septic, phoneline, electricity, etc. hooked up, get it moved, get the deck built,... yeah.)
but thanks for asking. i'll update when there is one.
