I recently put my 2 weeks in at Jack In The Box..Ive worked there in madera for taining, and was there fromt he start. my future mother in law, was fired, she was the GM. They fired her simply because she would not fire her own son, (which they only wanted to fire him because the Store Ownder has issues with him). Anyways, in order to get me to stya, since i know how to do everything in the store, they offered me a 50 cent raise, and 40 hours. instead, i didnt get my raise, and get 25-30 hours..and still have to do the worst jobs that no one else will touch. i need a job for this summer, im getting married next year. how do i find one in oakhust?? Cons is the only place, ugh! help http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/sad3.gif??

I know VONS was hiring. Definately better than Jack in the Box. Also check www.boyertemps.com (http://www.boyertemps.com) and www.sierrastar.com (http://www.sierrastar.com) Good luck to you!

The hotels will start hiring in March for summer. Check Tenaya and the hotels at the lake.

You might want to try for a job at a hotel front desk if you like working with people. It's a great job for students as the hours may be flexible and in winter when it's slow you can usually study if your work is done. You do have to plan on working all weekends and holidays though. In this area, you are working with tourists who are usually happy because they are on vacation. I know alot of hotels are hiring right now.

thats a pretty good idea, i live in Indian lakes, so i wanted to try something as close as possible. I might have to try the Pines resort for maid opptions though. Ill definirtly check out tenaya too http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif.thanks for the options! its hard in a small town. i almost want to stay at jack in the box for the summer..but its just too horrible and 6 months there would kill anyone.

Just a note of friendly advice... Don't badmouth current or former jobs when applying for a new one. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

It's terrible to be stuck in a job that you simply don't enjoy. If I hear of anything, I'll let you know.

Yeah... heh heh

I had this really crappy job once where I painted fences, stained and laquered wood, repaired signs, and got to eat my lunch out in the woods and hear the Train Whistle several times a day...

People were so nice it just pissed me off...

I would recommend Tenaya as well, since i've heard wonderful things.

But i would also second the recommendation of World Mark, Bass Lake.
