For those of you looking for something to cut down those broken hanging branches that may have broken in the snow I found this and ordered one. It's a 21 ft pole saw that collapses down to 8 ft. Could save you having to call a tree trimmer. Get the pole saw at the link below.

I have a pretty long one but it is hard to saw the real high branches. It telescopes also..I hope yours is sturdy because the farther you stretch it, the harder it is to use. Just fyi. I use mine alot tho..it also has a cutter along with the saw part...keeping the saw blade sharp makes things go better...hehehe. I'm glad I have it.

I think Tru-Value has the 12 ft version though. I have not seen them there before. Hmmmm http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/confused.gif

I rented one about that long at Lister Rents; it takes down into three sections. Pretty interesting to handle when it's fully extended!

I think it will be good to have one around all the time because we like to keep our trees free of Mistletoe and a saw like that will reach most of it. iF It's higher up than that I use what my my neighbor taught me(my 12ga. shotgun) to shoot it out of the tree at the main point wher it hangs. I have shot about 10 big bunches out of my trees since living here. 2 years ago we paid a tree service to remove all mistletoe from all the trees on the property. Now if we see any growing back we can get it with the new pole saw or shotgun.
