Ok, so I am finally breaking down and getting serious about this.
After a few days of crying because of exhaustion and needing help with the housework I decided to call a couple places.
One has shown up so far with an estimate of 75 dollars for one day a week. Does that sound reasonable? I have no idea what housekeepers go for, but I am beginning to think I am in the wrong business!
Anyway.. Here are the things I need done every week:
-Dusting
-Vacumming every room
-Cleaning 2 bathrooms
-Changing sheets on three beds (I know this will become difficult as time goes on)
-Other small things that may not be every week like sorting through closets/cleaning and organizing the gameroom
So I am looking for anyone who is interested in giving me an estimate for weekly and biweekly work.. I am unsure if I can afford or need weekly, but am keeping it open.
Help. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/sad3.gif

TIA! Hi Joy
I just talked to you on the phone, hope things work out for you, what size is your home? With the price of gas any more, housekeeping is going for around the price I quoted. It depends on the size of your home, but sounds like it would take about 3 to 4 hrs?
Anyway, give me a call if you cant find someone closer ok, I am in Coarsegold.

YJ, I have tried to set up at least three different housekeepers in the past year or so...
I'm either too far out or thet just don't show up. Good luck with finding someone. And, when you find someone, keep them... Good housekeepers are hard to find. I had mine in LA for a few years & was sad to leave her when we moved.

Well got one coming now to give me an estimate. Hopefully she is the quiet type because I just got 2 out of 3 kids sleeping.
(yay, quiet victory!)

My home is about 2000 sq ft...
When I was going to school a few years ago and working minimum wage at a coffee shop I should of found out how much housecleaners make. I kick butt at cleaning.. I could of been rich.
Darn.

There is a lady that does housekeeping in North Fork (no idea how far out they'll go), actually, i know two. I do not know how much they charge or any of the details. My mom has had one come over recently and is happy with her work. I can provide phone numbers if interested.

I have a housekeeper when I am overwhelmed that basically does what you are looking for. My house is about 2000 sq feet and she charges $75.00 per week. I'll ask her if she is looking for new clients. What area are you in?

$75 -$100 if a fair price for 4 hours of work.
Most of the time housekeepers bring their own cleaning supplies.
When you think of the price look at it this way
would YOU drive out to someone’s house EVERY WEEK and clean up another familie's mess and clean someone else’s toilet for less than $75
