Apparently My Itty Bitty Wild Kitty thought I needed a bit of spoiling this morning...having had such a rough weekend and all; She decided I would like breakfast in bed. Which means I was just awakened to a huge, very much alive male quail; that was ever so carefully handed to me in bed!!

Bless her heart for trying to do something sweet and special for me this morning, but, but but....EEeewwwwwweee. Yuk Yuk Pooey. I prefer my quail BBQ'd - sushimi style http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/lol.gif

Thank goodness for beach towels!! MY breakfast has been safely returned to the great outdoors relatively unharmed and with an amazing story to tell!!

Don't think I'll be needing any coffee this morning!

As a rule I would tend to agree with you John....however, the things my dogs try to sneak into the house (and some times succeed) are way more disgusting than a large very alive male quail http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/lol.gif

There is a picture of my wolf posted in a thread somewhere here...he is laying in my bed macking on a fish he had caught earlier. YUK!!!

He also had a duck that he buried, dug up, played with, carried around, hid etc. until the thing was nothing more than bones and 3 feathers on the top of its head http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/lol.gif There was no taking it away from him.

And the live opossum...another story

The female i have now....sometimes eats her catch right away and other times carries it around for 3 or 4 days. And, yes, she'd love to bring the house!! (none else could it then) http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif

This cat has yet to bring me a bat or a flying squirrel; something others have done in the past!!

I think she was just hungry for quail eggs bendict that morning! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/rofl5.gif
