speaking of doctors! I went in to see my doc the other day, and I took my six year old with me. This doctor has two funnies on her walls, one of a man with his penis in the mammogram machine, and another of a woman with flat boobs from the mammogram machine.

I thought it was rather unprofessional and uneasy to explain that to my kid. How tasteless. Theres a thought!

Is this a common diagnosis? (Possible life threatening blisters on the outside of the lungs) I am sorry for being ignorant. I just haven't heard of this before...

When you hear of disease caused by smoking it is usually emphasyma(sp?), cancer, etc.
How is this possible? He's only 29!!!

Since they are on the outside... Do the blisters contain a poisonous fluid that upon rupture could possibly contaminate the whole body & blood stream?

I went into Urgent Care and was freakin' out (about getting scary results) because I had to have an X-ray done on my lungs...
The Dr. tried calming me (didn't work) by saying... (Point of the story)--> "We usually don't see smoking caused illness until the later ages (60+)." I'm 27.

Your son is SOOO young! Sh*tty stuff isn't supposed to happend at 29! According to Dr.'s.

Ah Cali Gal, I think he will. Especially since he has such a young wife now! It will take on a whole new meaning! As for his fans, yes, we will still sing that song as so many have reached that age or we are nearing it soon. And.... you have to read into the meaning of the song - its not so much as a "certain age" as will you still stand by me as we age, and age we will, and it will bring trials and tribulations to our lives. I think its a song about commitment and love whatever the future may bring. It is a lovely song.
