I love polls but can't vote on this one because I have never eaten at a Quiznos. Do they have other stuff besides sandwiches?

Quizno's is so much better than Subway, the Subway here anyway. Although I think Subway should close and a Togo's come in. Just my opinion though.

We don't have a Togo's up here. We have to settle for Quizno's. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/yes.gif I had the Mesquite Roasted Chicken and it was great.

We just went to QUizno's on three day ago, UHG..
They fixed our sandwiches wrong, BOTH of the sandwiches, we sent them back, they fixed them wrong again. We were so frustrated, we just left.
FAT PAULIES on CLOVIS and HERNDON.. ROCKS when it comes to Sandwiches... a little pricey.. but Big sandwiches and Great Service...http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

BTW, I never eat Subway because I used to work at one, and if the current employees are as bad as I was then I would not expect to survive my dining experience
Oh please, don't tell me you didn't practice safe sandwich making! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/sad3.gif

I tried Quiznos for the very first time in my life the other day...yes, the one that just opened http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif
I didn't think they were anything like subway.
I did like the sandwich I had and liked the selection they offered, the staff was super nice and service was quick and efficient.
I would definatly go back.

I've already eaten there twice. I was waiting for them to open, and jumped right in as soon as they were. Their sandwiches are much better, imho than Subway. Slightly more expensive, but better. Give them a try.

I tried A Quizno Sub last year, didnt really care about having my sandwich passed through an oven, didnt do the meat much good either, but maybe tried the wrong sandwich meat..

Cali-Girl, You are not a mess. I opened this thread just to ask if the place was still 'crazy crowded'.
I don't do well in crowds. I tend to become overly critical and impatient with the people in line in front of me who, under crowded conditions, seem to have no consideration for anyone around them, nor do I have much tolerance for things like new staff members being left to fend for themselves during a mad rush or a seasoned employee trying to train an new hire during a mad rush. I am not sure why but crowded conditions seem to almost always seem to cloud my perception of a place even if the final product was exactly what I had hoped for.
I have never eaten at Quizno's. I want to be able to fairly judge them during ideal conditions....for me.

It is odd. I think Quiznos is a decent chain, yet I have never had a good experience at one. I haven't been to the new one here yet....I'll have to give it a try and see if I can turn around my losing streak.
The main difference that I could see between subway and quiznos is that quiznos passes most of their sandwiches through a heater....so they are hot (at least in theory).
BTW, I never eat Subway because I used to work at one, and if the current employees are as bad as I was then I would not expect to survive my dining experience.

We support the Coarsegold Subway -a very nice couple own it and the OWNERS are always there - never a hired hand. (Although the owners are shy til they see you a couple times, then they open up and will chat!)
We also like Quizno's - I like the chicken ranch after it goes through toasting!

Im gonna try it out tomorrow http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif
The Coarsegold Subway is the best! The people who own it are the best! I wouldnt give my Subway business to anyone else. I drive all the way into Coarsegold everytime I need it.
The last time I was in there they were having troubles with their cc machine. The guy in front of me ended up having to run over to the atm to get cash instead. I thought these people were going to have heart atatcks right then and there. You could really tell how important it is to them to make all of their customers happy. Not only is their customer service incredible, but their sandwiches ALWAYS look perfectly uniform..every single time without fail.
I really hope Quiznos doesnt hurt their business at all. They are good people with a great business.

What he said...
They're similar in taste/value/price, which
is to say not very good... http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif
The roast beef tastes yucky after going through
the "oven".... IMO
Togo's is better than both.

Quiznos is a good choice for fast food in Oakydoke.. at least its partly healthly unlike Jack or C arls. I have yet to try their sandwiches and the only time ive been to one is the one in RiverPark near RedRobin. The dude who worked there was an A$$hole! I wanted one of the salads.. so i went to the line and ask the dude for the salad my choice and he rudely shouts "go over there for that",,,,, i was like, hey, like i know how the ******* place runs?? The salad was fair... but im told that their sarnies are excellent so i will have to pop in one day soon and try one. I love subway sarnies too..... (the one at Sierra and Blackstone in fresburg is the best).. never been to CG or Oakydoke one. Port of Subs is my all time favourite sarnie place tho!!

I finally made it in! The line wasnt so bad today, and it was moving pretty quick, so I ventured in. Glad I did too! I found the service at Quiznos to be excellent, and all of our sandwiches came out beautiful and yummy http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/hungry.gif. Yay! I can eat out again! And they have kids meals with the toy so my little one doesnt feel as ripped off since I cut her off of McDonalds.

Quizno's is for sale. There was an ad in this week's Sierra Advertiser. They're asking $295,000 for the business.
Wonder why they're selling after just over a year from when they first opened.
Good luck.

I haven't eaten there in a while. They were really empty the last few times I did though. Maybe they just aren't getting the business they needed. One of the reasons I don't go there much is because the parking lot is too narrow and scary with teenagers everywhere (the teenage drivers, not the teens themselves). The subs are great, I never had a qualm about the food there.

YJ I think you nailed it. it's the parking. It's a bit hard to get in and out of with as close as the parking is. We eat there every 2 weeks or so, I love the Masquite Bacon Ranch. KK loves it also.

I've never eaten there, but do go to Starbucks drive through once in awhile. I've never parked in that lot, it looks like it would be really difficult for someone with a big car like mine to get in and out. I've seen ads on TV for the salads and they look yummy!

the parking lot is bigger than it looks. it looks TINY from the street.

I was thinking about the parking too. Quiznos and Starbucks in the same area - both are too popular to have enough parking.

Just tried Quiznos, yes I'm a little behind, but I wanted to use a coupon I had and they said it wasen't valid on the "Everyday Meals". Went to my car & read it over and it didn't say it wasen't valid on Everyday Meals, so I went back in and expressed my concern. Only then did he give me my money back. Sorry pal, don't mess with locals!

I liked it under the old owners. Under the new owners I have heard from reliable sources that some "health/sanitary" related problems were observed. I have stopped going there.
