I used to like Rosie when she had her own show. I do not like her on the view. That show is so loud and they all talk over each other...gives me a headache.

I was a Rosie fan, but when she says that our government was complicit in the 9-11 attacks on our country, she lost all credibility. Even George Bush, louse that he is, would not attack his own country - Attack our constitution yes, but not the twin towers.

I agree with everyone, what a loud mouth! I like to hear what other people have to say. I used to watch The View on occasion, but I am boycotting it now, till they get rid of her! It has turned into The Rosie Show.

Rosie O’Donnell to Leave ‘The View’ in June
By JACQUES STEINBERG
Rosie O’Donnell, who raised both the profile and ratings of “The View” this season by using it as a forum for her rants on the Iraq war, Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey and even her own castmates, will leave the show in June after failing to reach a contract extension, she announced on the program this morning.
“I have decided that we couldn’t come to terms with my deal with ABC so next year I’m not going to be on ‘The View,’ “ Ms. O’Donnell said on today’s show, just after it began broadcasting live at 11 a.m. eastern time. She said, however, that she expected to return to the program as a guest host occasionally next year, including to preside over one-hour special episodes about autism and depression.
Ms. O’Donnell, whose contract with the program was only for this season, said that ABC had wanted her to sign a three-year extension, while she had only wanted to commit to a year. An ABC executive who was directly apprised of the negotiations, but who was not authorized to discuss them, confirmed Ms. O’Donnell’s account, but said that there had also been a wide difference between the salary she was seeking and what the network was willing to pay.
What was not immediately clear was whether the many public feuds Ms. O’Donnell engaged in from her seat on “The View” — most famously with Mr. Trump — played any role in her departure. On Wednesday, for example, The New York Post described in its “Page Six” gossip column how Ms. O’Donnell’s crude taunts about Mr. Trump in a speech this week at an annual luncheon honoring women in communications had prompted Barbara Walters, the co-host and co-owner of “The View,” to bury her face in her hands on the dais.
Last year, the insults hurled between Mr. Trump and Ms. O’Donnell had ultimately, and uncharacteristically, drawn in Ms. Walters. She was prompted to label him a “poor, pathetic man” on “The View” after he asserted that Ms. Walters had privately told him she regretted the hiring of Ms. O’Donnell.
On today’s program, Ms. Walters, who sat immediately to Ms. O’Donnell’s left at the show’s trademark glass table, alluded to Ms. O’Donnell’s tempestuous tenure on the show by saying, “We have had, to say the least, an interesting year.” She added that the experience of having Ms. O’Donnell aboard had been “exciting, fun-filled and provocative.”
Still, Ms. Walters, who splits ownership of “The View” with ABC, nonetheless sought to distance herself from Ms. O’Donnell’s departure, telling the audience and viewers,” I would like to make one thing perfectly clear: I do not participate in the negotiations for Rosie. It’s ABC Daytime.”
“It was between your representative and ABC Daytime,” Ms. Walters reiterated, turning toward Ms. O’Donnell. “This is not my doing or my choice.”
Ms. Walters had used similar language in an interview nearly a year ago, in seeking to keep herself at arm’s length from what she characterized as ABC’s decision not to renew the contract of another outspoken “View” co-host, Star Jones.
Still, Ms. Walters — who shares a publicist with Ms. O’Donnell — had acknowledged in an interview last fall that she had her eyes wide open when she invited Ms. O’Donnell to join the cast. In effect, Ms. Walters got what she paid for: a resurgence in attention and ratings for a show that had been at risk of lurching toward irrelevance on the eve of this, its 10th season.
Ms. O’Donnell encouraged viewers to seek her out on her blog — www.rosie.com — after she leaves “The View.” Left unsaid was whether she might someday try to return to television in a reprise of her own talk show, which preceded her tenure on “The View.”
“That’s showbiz,” Ms. O’Donnell said of her looming departure. “But it’s not sad.”

I may not always agree with Rosie, but I will admire her for standing by what she says and having the guts to say things that are not popular.

I agree with monkey. A woman strong enough to voice her opinion is frequently labeled with unflattering names, just for standing up for her convictions. If a man does it, somehow it's okay. As in the incident with Trump, he was/is every bit as abrasive and opinionated as she was/is. But no one called him the "B" word. I enjoy watching her occasionally, and will continue to do so, and I always enjoy any movie she is in.

I agree with you on the points you presented. That Trump was not equally run into the ground for his replies was outrageous. I found that the fact that he even bothered to engage in a 'school yard' fit of name calling beneath him and the amount of air time it generated ridiculous.
My only complaint about Rosie and the view is that she talked over and interrupted everyone. Guests and Co-hosts were having trouble stating their Views; which, I had thought, was the premise of the show.

I didn't see that broadcast. But I guess it's okay for the rappers and other so called singers to grab their crotches and use filthy words in their songs huh? I didn't say I approve of everything she does, I said she's no worse than some of the people condeming her, and I still think her sexual preference brings more wrath down on her head and less tolerance than some of the screwballs I've seen in the entertainment arenas. There's a lot worse out there. JMO

No, I'm not nuts. I'm just pointing out that she is NOT the only one who has done this, that others do it (or worse, look at how long Imus got away with things he said before anyone got outraged enough to stop it) and no one seems to say much about it, it's accepted. Yet because of WHO she is, now there's an uproar because SHE did it. Seems a little lopsided in values, doesn't it? I'm not directing this specifically at you, it's an overall observation of life. I don't like when people do stuff like that, not having seen the show I don't know WHY she did it. That being said, without all the facts, I'm not going to pass judgement on her. But overall, I've seen much worse, much more frequently, from many other members of entertainment world. For that matter, I've seen teens themselves behave much worse, and say much worse. I'm not saying any of it is right. Personally, if it was my grandkids, I'd smack them into next week if they said the things I hear some kids say. The choices are, either ignore it, accept it, look past it, or deal with it and put a stop to it from ALL of them. I suspect with this incident, the "outrage" it stirred up will fade in several weeks or months and the world will move on to something/someone else to be shocked about. JMO

No apology was being looked for, nor is any needed. I was laughing when I read it. Truth to be told, we're all nuts at one time or another. I just consider this as an exchange of views/opinions.
