Wawona Hotel Dining Room, Wawona

I have never eaten at the Wawona Hotel. If you have, tell us about your experience(s) there.

I've had the breakfast buffet there a few times, typically when headed into the Park for a day (or more - it's a nice "last meal" before picking up a back country permit at the ranger station and going to the trailhead).

The setting is wonderful, the buffet is huge, and good value for money (come hungry). Service is variable.

I've never tried to order off the menu, so I can't say anything about that.

There's supposed to be drinks service on the veranda after 4pm, but we have never managed to get anyone's attention to place an order!

We had Easter Brunch there this year. Nothing to write home about, but the prices were fair and the service was good. I've also eaten there for dinner a couple of times. Again, the food was average, don't remember about the prices but the service was good. I love the history and whole feel of the Wawona and always enjoy listening to Tom Bopp on the piano before dinner.

Service was terrible ! :driving:Food took forever ,was all dried out from sitting under the heat lamps, but :driving:all of our deserts were free,and since we were still starving :driving:they let us have all we wanted ! And really that was the best part.:driving:

We had lunch there once long ago which is why it was only once and long ago... Not impressed with service or food
