Very cool! Thanks for posting. I visited many of the California Missions when I was younger. I traveled a lot with my Grandparents and we always stopped at any nearby missions. I lived near the San Fernando Mission.

The San Fernando Mission was the very first mission I ever went to... Went with my fourth grade class, and I fell in love. My mom and I started going to as many as we could after that. My family eventually moved to Vandenberg for a while... and right down the street was La Purisima Mission.
I even had the opportunity to stay at San Antonio de Padua for a full weekend. One of the greatest experiences of my life (though, I will admit, it was a bit creepy.) lol.

Missions are pretty awesome. California History is one of my favourite history subjects, I used to live a short walk from San Miguel Arcangel. (in.. doh... San Miguel, California). It was kinda cool be able to take morning walks to the Mission. SLO mission was also a favourite place to go sit in the warm spring days next to the creek and read (or even enjoy a beer in the near bye restaurants.)

Very nice pictures, I use to live right down the street from the mission. It was a nice little tourist town. We even got to watch a movie being made there right in town. Brought back alot of good memories for me.

I love the Missions. San Juan Capistrano is my favorite. San Juan Bautista Mission is nice too though. Plus, San Juan Bautista has a great flea market during the summer, nice and shady and cool during the heat of summer. And you can visit the mission too, what more can you ask for?

Mission San Juan Cap is my fav. too. Dakota's class has to choose a mission to do thier report on. I'm going to show her all of the missions and she can choose excluding Bautista because I have a feeling there will be alot of reports on that one. lol. I'm anxious to see which one she chooses. The reports are due in June. She can take her time.
