We saw the Doc last night and he said the baby was not doing like he wanted him to be doing but he is not severe yet. He put a breathing hood on him to help with the breathing. They were ordering up a bunch of test so we are hoping that we will get some kind of results from them and to find out what is causing this and hopefully they can give him something to help him get better.

Cole has some wet lungs and making some noises when he breaths, so they are watching him close and spending some time off and on in the nursery.
His O2 saturation levels are low without Extra o2 so they have him under a O2 hood.

He has been in the nursery for 24 hours now and we have not seen him since last night at 7pm. Dr Kratzner (the Pediatrician) came by last night at 8pm and told us it is a mystery and he wanted to order test.
They are finally running some test. He may have aspirated something and is septic. Finally put him on some Medicine and an IV today.

Ann is doing great her Dr said she can go home but is keeping her here until we figure out what is going on with Cole.
The Nurses in the Nursery don't keep us to informed. We are getting ready to walk down there and check him out.

Baby Cole is beautiful, you guys are in my prayers along with my kids praying for him also...
I am happy to hear he is doing better..thank you for sharing photo's with us and keeping us up dated.....

That's the same thing that happened to Jakie when he was born...all they had to do to treat it was watch him and keep him quiet. He had a kind of big pneumo, so they had to sedate him to keep him from crying, but they had already decided and done that by this time so that must not be a problem with Cole. Anyway, it's easily treated and no permanent damage.

Cole is doing better. the hood is off and
he is still has labored breaths but O2 levels are up.
Doc said We can stat another day. Baby has a few more days to stay.

Good news and bad news. Ann was released on Friday but Cole had to stay. They did a last minute bilirubin Test and was A little high 17, so he get to stay in a tanning bed for a day or so. His breathing problem is GONE he is like a normal 4 day or baby now!:o

I just wanted to post this out there for you guys on Cole's progress with his club feet. Today Cole went in for Surgery. They wnet in and Cut the tendon on the back of both ankles and extended his foot as far as the foot is supposed to go and casted his feet again and this cast will stay on for 5 weeks and then when they take the cast off the tendon will have grown back but it will be longer and this will give him more movement in his foot. Then he will wear a shoe brace for up to 3 months 23 hours a day then after that he will wear his brace only nap and bed times for 1 to 2 years. Everything is looking good so far and he is progressing fast.

Thank You for your Prayers. I had received a phone call this morning from Kirsten's Doctor and I had droped off a tape last weekend for Doc. to check it out she had been drooling a lot and I thought snoring really loud and he checked her out and put her antibiotics because her tonsils were really big well the specialist could not get her in until July 18. Well when he called this moring he said he got her in tomorrow 9am and that she was not snoring that she had not sure about spelling but strider and her tonsils were abstructing her airway and she was not getting the oxygen she needs and I have noticed a couple times during the night that I could not tell if she was even breathing and I budge her and then she seem to start snoring again. So at this time I am not sure what there going to do. I just want her to be ok and back to her old self. :cry:

wow, is that anything like sleep apnea? Try putting somthing to wedge under her pillows, so she is at an angle when she sleeps, less likely for her airway to be getting obstructed on her.
If there is anything I can do for you, just name it!

Well we saw the Doctor and he said she had a really bad sinus infection and strarting signs of ear infection and most the Antibiotics Kirsten has used before is not strong enough so he put her on a stronger dose with some decongestants and in 3 weeks he is going to check her and if she is cleared up he will check her tonsils to see if there still enlarged if not then that was the cause . If they are still enlarged then that was not the case then he will xray her tonsils to see if there still swollen. If so he may take out her adnoids but not her tonsils because she is not 3 and 35lbs she is 2 1/2 and 24lbs and taking out he tonsils is too risky for her at this point but if they take out just the adnoids it is a lot less risky and it should clear up her problem. So I guess we will see in 3 weeks.

How are Kirsten & Cole today? Justin was put on antibiotics for a sinus infection late yesterday (thanks for being there, Pops) and was running a high fever.

cole is doing really good 4 more weeks to go on the cast then it's a brace that we can take off from time to time for baths. Yeah

I not sure on Kirsten yet we just started her on Antibiotics 6pm last night and she take it once a day for 10 days at 6pm. So I hope to see progress soon.

No problem Dodge remember you guys are family to us.

Just out Patent surgery for double hernia
Cant wait to get this taken care of.
i will be laid up for a few days and have to take it easy for a few weeks
