I am watching a terribly depressing documentary on IFC channel. It's called "The Bridge" It show people commiting Suicide by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. :( Did you know that 20-30 people a year jump to their deaths from that bridge and many are caught on video doing it. More than 1200 that they know of since it was built.

I just finished making 2 loaves of Honey Oatmeal Bread, and am waiting for the 2nd rise to finish so that I can pop them into the oven (thank heaven for my Kitchenaid Pro with the bread hook as I cannot knead by hand anymore). After they bake, I am going to make some Butterscotch Brownies... I am a bit of a baking freak... Put a roast into the Crockpot this morning, so we will be eating well tonight!! :yes:

I called Ray for you. Grand Torino is confirmed for next week. They have been trying to get Benjimen Button since Day one, but were told that the soonest it could come is the 9th... and that's not guaranteed.

I will suggest that they only add confirmed movies for the next week to the "Coming Soon" list, but things can always change.

Yes, I wondered also about the cakes and Aunt T. What I noticed - did you see how incredibly ugly Aunt T was? Unbelievable, but yet she was so nice. What first came to mind was "Hansel & Gretal". Remember the story - kids who were abused by their parents, came upon an idyllic area with a house made of sweets. The wicked witch took them in, fed them well, put them in comfortable beds, made them feel safe, then enslaved them to be eaten!! I think this story stopped short of the bad stuff. Don't know if they were just looking for happy endings in the 60's or what. It could probably have a "sequel" but then I wouldn't like these "zone" shows as much! LOL I still think the best stories are the ones that leave you wondering....... and God knows, Rod Serling had plenty of those! And yes, Talking Tina is one of the all time bests. In fact I was talking like Tina just today - when I was displeased with Hubby's comments - J/K - I have to specify that as some people on here take me seriously!!

We're such namby-pambies down here! How much did Oakhurst and Ahwahnee get? Coming up Sunday and hoping we don't have to cancel our plans
