Where do singles in their 30's go to meet other singles in Oakhurst?

I just moved here. Where do single males in their 30's go to to meet single females in the Oakhurst area? Any good websites besides yahoo personals and match.com to meet other singles?

I'm not sure as I'm not single. But I would think:

Church

Going out at night to the Pines, Oakroom, BLue Heron when a band is playing...

Getting active in community events

etc.

come on out the next time the Oakhurst Forums gang posts an outing.....there is the Mammoth Lakes Camping Event in August.
And we ladies try to have a ladies night out now and then... esp when Jazz on the Lake is happening in the summer.

Perhaps we should have another Bass Lake BBq this summer???

I would have to say dating up here is a little different. My friends who live elsewhere say we are geographically challenged!! Attending any and all Community events and accepting invites to anything is always a good idea. Go even if you don't know anyone and make a point of making at least one new friend. That person may not be single, but I'm betting they someone who is!! I have found that the things I had thought would be least of fun turn out to be quite the opposite. Also, just keep doing the things you like doing...you are bound to meet others with your same interests.

Yes I am a 38 year old male in Oakhurst. I work as a full time stock trader. I have been doing stock trading full time for the past two years. Before that I worked as an accountant. I just moved here from San Jose three weeks ago. I like movies, tv, hiking, day trips, and travel.

AACK, where can I go to NOT meet someone! LOL.....no but seriously...I have decent luck going to events, hanging out at the bars....there seems to be plenty of people to meet if you get out a bit! I have two kids too, and we trade off sitting for each other, I have several other single friends and I meet people even at the grocery store!
