I didn't have a child on all stars 9-10 this year but I am very proud of our Yosemite little league all stars and how far they took themselves....

To the fans of the Riverpark Little League All-Star team (9-10), the 5-0 game was an upset loss on a jinxed day.
To the Yosemite All-Stars, Friday the 13th was just another day and Riverpark was just another team to defeat.
Yosemite did so, with the convincing victory to become the Division 10, Area 1 champions.
The Friday game was played in Madera but it may as well have been in Coarsegold. After Riverpark's Chad Lester's was stranded following his two-out double to left field in the first inning, the game was Yosemite's, they just didn't know it.
The game was one of opportunities lost for both teams. Riverpark's Hunter Hollis singled up the middle in the second and moved into scoring position but The team couldn't get him home.
YLL's Scott Parker singled to short left field in the bottom of the second and Jackson Soares reached on a fielder's choice but neither runner would cross the plate as Riverpark held both runners.
But Yosemite could not be kept from scoring for long. Bryan Woolsey started off the bottom of the third with a single to short and scored on a single to left center by Joey Woolsey.
Joey Woolsey scored on a triple to deep right field by Carson Conti. Scott Parker hit a ground ball to second base scoring Conti on the fielder's choice.
Yosemite scored again in the bottom of the fifth inning on a double to deep center field by the pitcher, Joey Woolsey who scored on Conti's second triple of the game.
Conti scored on a sacrifice fly by Tyler McIntyre.
With the score 5-0 after five innings, McIntyre came on in relief of Joey Woolsey and held Riverpark in the sixth inning.
Yosemite pitching - Joey Woolsey threw 4 2/3 innings of shutout baseball, with six strikeouts and allowing only three hits.
McIntyre finished the game with one strikeout and allowed no hits.
For Riverpark, Riley Brasuell threw for four innings, striking out five, allowed just five hits but gave up three runs. Chad Lester finished up for Riverpark with two strikeouts, gave-up three hits and allowed a pair of runs.
Manager Bobby Woolsey and coach Pete Conti took the team to the District 10 Championships on Saturday, July14, where the team fell to Chowchilla 13-2.
Yosemite's 9-10 All-Star team finished second out of 20 teams in the District 10 championships.
