What resources are available around here?

Are you looking for help for yourself or to assist someone else? This is a topic I'm much concerned about as from what I've witnessed resources are very, very slim here. Helping Hands in Oakhurst is a good place to start - if they can't help they'll give you good referrals.
PM me if you don't want to be open in open forum.

Helping Hands? I thought their org was to assist women with pregancies.

That is what they do primarily but they also provide a fair amount of family services and referrals as well since some of the situations surrounding women needing pregnancy related services also involve other 'issues'.

I am in a relationship and have seen local therapist but they dont seem to deal with how the guys anger or fall out of his anger effects me. They jus deal with the surface issues of his issues and tell me to get my own support to stay healthy in the situation . Which can be difficult.

Not to say this happens up here but there ARE therapists around who think more about keeping insurance money flowing than they do about helping to resolve problems. To keep things going means more appointments and more appointments keep the ol' checkbook full. It isn't in their financial interest to cure the ills and have clients quit coming. I don't trust anybody who makes money off my problems.
