They are holding the UCSF Art from the Heart auction this same night, so I shall be there watching my work and KK's work go up for auction. Let me know how much fun the SAT reception was. :)

fingers crossed that we mountain girls bring in lots of money for the auction. :)

Turned out LancasterMan's family had dinner for his birthday celebration ready to serve about the time I had thought I might sneak over to the SAT reception and another guest had just arrived so I wasn't able to pull off my disappearing act as planned. I am hugely disappointed...

...so report????? How did your auction go Wolfie? And how was the reception, KK???

I kept looking out for you SheilaMae. I knew Wolfie was down at the "Art for the Heart" fundraiser in Fresno (we both donated work). And Messy has a bad arm injury right now so knew she wasn't gonna be able to be there.

I felt lost without my buds there after Newcomer went home! But... I was able to meet and talk with more artists and art adventurers this year because I didn't feel I'd be rude to you gals...

The reception turned out great - quite a bit of people despite the crazy rain and hail, thunder and lightning that passed through for about 20 minutes.

Saw Mark and Robin from Sierra Nursery, the owner of Innana's gallery, Met Don "Putt" Putman, the cover artist for this years catalog (he's the man standing in the picture holding the catalog and his beautiful Senorita's behind him in oil), Gloria Garland who does acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in town, and so many other great people!

The auction too went verra verra well! There was a great turn out, but the MC from Channel 24 had to goad people away from their plates and wineglasses to go bid on the art. They had a great spread of food, and several wineries..... Quady, Ficklin, and another small Madera winery. (Sorry Messy, they served no Red Electra to my dismay!). But the bestest news is that even though all of the work donated did not get bid on... both KK and I sold our works!!!!
I was soooooo excited to see that someone actually bid on and won my Zebra photograph. :)
