How come I'm not surprised by the results of this poll?

I did not vote because in the 24 years I have lived in Oakhurst I have never used Hillview Water. The 2 houses I lived in had their own wells and now I live in the oakhurst Mobile Estates and the park has its' own well.

Lemme see .. today is April 17, right?

I just received a postcard from Hillview Water for a Late Charge of 5.00 for a bill that was due 4-15-10, lemme see, that was the day before yesterday, right? It is hard to read the postmark, but I guess they mailed it the 16th.

Now, I pay the bill online using Bank of America, so I am pretty confident that either (a) Hillview received the payment on time or (b) Bank of America has to account for any problem, but ..

How many businesses send out late charge notices on the DAY AFTER the bill is due?

Don't know exactly, but I'd say even one is too many. For you, I expect a phone call will be worth $5.
