The grandkids and I are going to see this on Wednesday, they're 7 and 8. They're excited, lunch at Red Robin, then the movie. When I was little, my brother and I had an Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas album. LOL, we about wore that poor record out playing it and playing it, over and over. Must have driven my mom nuts! She still has that record and will pull it out once in awhile to play. It's a little unusual because it was red vinyl instead of black. Then the kids daddy and uncle grew up watching Alvin and the Chipmunks cartoons, with my brother while I was at work. It should be fun, I'll let ya'll know how the movie was.

I remember watching the cartoons and listening to the record. Nowadays, I can't stand to listen to those high-pitched voices. They have the same effect on me as fingernails screeching across a blackboard.
But I am sure the 'munks and their antics are still appealing....so I hope the movie is fun for everybody.

My mom and I were talking about it yesterday and we agreed, Alvin is my grandson all over! When Dave says "Alvin?"...........Alvin???........................"ALVIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", before Alvin finally answers, that's Nolan, LOL. I can see the wicked gleam in his eye already as he recognizes himself up on that screen, LOL

Well, we went and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks last week and I loved it, the grandkids loved it! They giggled and laughed almost all the way through, except for one or two parts that were a little sad, but quickly became happy times again. My grandson said his favorite chipmunk is Theodore (LOL, I think Alvin was uncomfortably too much like him for his taste). We had a really good time and it passed far to quickly. But then we went and had a fun lunch complete with grilled cheese sandwiches (cheddar, american and mozzarella on thick bread, grilled with parmesan cheese sprinkled on the outside, yummy for a cheese lover), hot chocolate and PIE at Bakers Square. The kids choice of eating places. Then because we felt guilty for having all that fun while mom and dad worked, we bought a pie to take home to them, LOL. Of course, we got some of that too.
