This coming Saturday, January 5th, at 4:15 p.m., the Fresno Jr. Falcons will be playing San Jose Sharks Mites at the Gateway Ice Rink. Admission is free and it's fun to watch the game, win or lose. Last time, in San Jose, the Sharks beat the Jr. Falcons, but the Sharks get a lot more ice time than our kids. Come out and watch and cheer the kids on if you're able to (or get stuck in Fresno because of the storm that's coming in), or if you have a potential hockey player, bring them (boy or girl, there's both on the team!) and let them see what it's all about. These kids give it their all.

Good thoughts help too! Remember, the Jr. Falcons of today COULD be the Falcons of tomorrow. ~sigh~ I'll probably lose my voice again yelling "NOLAN, GET THAT PUCK!!!!!" ROFL

Those are always cool Wolfie. Nolan and his Dad have two, one Nolan got from the big boys when he was "Jr. Falcon of the Game" last year. His last game, the 14th, against San Francisco, they won and he had two goals and an assist. He was really pumped about that.

I have a friend who seems to be well liked by the Falcons... they are always tossing pucks at him.. tossing, not throwing. LOL. But that is what happens when we sit ON the glass/ice.

When I go with them, we wind up in the top rows the same level as the snack bars. Can't handle those steps. When they go without me, they sit on the ice. Nolan's favorite thing is to watch the Falcons practice at Gateway and have them stop and talk with the Jr. Falcons during practice when they can or after practice. Those guys really are great with the little ones, and the bigger boys too. At Nolans last Falcons game, he had lost his two upper front teeth. One of the players came out, did a double take while he was helping him put on his helmet and yelled "DANG! You LOOK like a hockey player". They about had to pick Nolan's dad up off the floor he was laughing so hard.
