Who is your republican candidate of choice? Vote in the poll above. Please only discuss and compare the republican candidates in this thread.

Why do I say republican of choice? Because that's the way I choose to do this poll. The republican and democratic primaries are currently underway. We are trying to decide what republican and what democrat will be the final candidates in the election. I posted this topic and poll for the best Republican candidate and a separate one for Democrats. We are not arguing republican against democrat, we are arguing best republican in this thread and best democrat in the other thread. Once we have our final candidates, I'll create a topic and poll with the final candidates. So that poll will include the republican and democrat candidates. At that time, I'll also include the third party front runners.
Even though I may not vote Republican, I can tell you that Ron Paul is my favorite Republican candidate when compared to the other republicans.

As a Democrat, I'd love to see Huckabee. We can beat him easily.

That's part of my solution:
1. Public financing of all presidential and congressional campaigns. Make any and all donations to any party, candidate, PAC, or other partisan group for the purposes of supporting a candidate, illegal. This would raise your taxes by $3/year and make the politicians answerable to you instead of the highest bidder.
2. A viable third party.
3. Free education for as far as the student can go. That's an investment in our future.
