Unfortunately, such is the way of life sometimes. You aren't the only one this has happened to and won't be the only one in the future. Look at it as a lesson learned and after you're over the initial pain and shock, you'll be surprised how easy it is to move on and find someone worthy of your love. I know it does hurt now, but when one door closes, another opens.

yes.. exactly what Ironhorse said! Looks like she has used you, and hopefully Karma will get her in the end. Remember, Australia is full of the worlds most poisonous snakes, bugs etc etc..... (did i say that?) We all get what we deserve in the end. Let her go and move on... Life can only get better without a leech on your back.

It is sad how many times I have heard of similar situations. Sorry to hear it happened to you.

So sorry, my heart goes out to you. There are great things waiting out there for you, usually when you least expect them. Rascal Flatts has a song and the chorus says "God Bless the Broken Road That Led Me Straight To You". It tells about hard times and people who broke his heart, but points out that these experiences were things that he had to go through to get to the one that truly loved him. My first husband of five years was a real jerk and really hurt me badly. I was sure that I would never want to trust another man as long as I lived! Then one day, I met my current husband (together now nearly 30 years) and he has been the greatest blessing ever in my life. Don't give up, she didn't deserve you, and I too have a feeling that she will get as good as she has given. Hang in there!

Captin, my heart goes out to ya. I myself have gone thru the same thing about 3 times. It never gets any easier. But, i really believe all things happen for a reason. So, now you're available, right? Why don't you get together with others on this forum and meet new people. Just throw yourself out there and some lady will appear and you will be so thankful that this all came about. Honest! ((Hugs))
