My brother was very sick this morning and eventually passed out. He was taken to the urgent care in Oakhurst.

They found a large kidney stone, bowel obstruction, enlarged heart w/mass and liver problems.

He was taken to St. Agnes by ambulence.

He's 38 years old.

Thanks for all the prayers.

My brother was released today. He needs to try to pass the stone himself and go see his reg. dr. on Monday for the stone and his other problems.

"He needs to try to pass the stone himself"

That's good news; however, he may need our prayers even more now LOL!

Why does prayer work? Why does the creator of the universe stop to listen to our petitions? I don't know the answers to those questions - I only know that He does.

I'm so sorry BM - I haven't been on the forums much lately - just quick pop-ins.

I hope it goes fast. Watching Newcomer with stones has taught me how painful these things are - I'm sure they gave him pain meds... hopefully he will be taking them.

Ouch! I am feeling for him, and I know exactly how passing a stone feels, I've had several. Lots and lots and lots of cranberry juice may be helpful. After my last one about a month ago, I now drink the stuff everyday to try to avoid getting them.

He did leave with a perscription.

Now its the long haul with his heart and liver.

I guess when you tear up your body when your young it comes to haunt you later. He tore his up all thru his 20s. Hence the liver & heart.

He can start by stop smoking. I know thats the first thing his Dr. is going to tell him.

I went to Gary Blue in Fresno for hypnotism to stop smoking and it has bewen over 6 months. I don't know if it was the hypnosis or me just being stubborn, but something worked. I also recommend he go to www.whyquit.com (http://www.whyquit.com) to learn more info about smoking and for support. You will all still be in my prayers.

Health is everything.

I've lost my good health for two weeks with viral bronchitis and I'm dang ready to get it back.

Your brother is still young, but he's at a pivotal age. All of this will teach him some hard lessons and motivate him to make some big changes...because he won't want to have to go through this again.

My thoughts are with him.
