I am often searching the internet for free patterns for different crafts, or new ideas on something to make. Figured I might share some of what I find with everyone here. Here's the first one, lots of fun-looking stuff to do, quilting, beading, wood crafts, etc.

All Free Craft Sites
Another one with lots of free patterns for knitting, crochet, jar mixes, body scrubs, etc. Lots of things that would be fun to make for craft fairs or gifts and such, or just to make for yourself.

No Sew Fleece Throws
Here's a link with step by step instructions. I've made about 8 of these for family and friends. I generally get 2 yards of each material, then they're long enough to cover the tallest person in the family, LOL. Easy to make, can do it while you watch TV, and they're nice and toasty on cold days/evenings, and so many patterns of fleece to choose from, sports, animals, toys, professions and more!

I just checked this out - the recipe cards - and it is great! I think I'm going to subscribe to this as one of my goals when I retire is to get together all the family recipes and put them in a book. Right now I have a bazillion scraps of paper piled up in a drawer which I have to search through each time I need the recipe! LOL Thanks O1af! :chef: And thank you Ironhorse for starting this thread.

I agree with Summer. I have tons of recipes, all scattered around my house, in cookbooks, drawers, files, even found some in my clothes closet! Great site Only1alpha, and you're welcome Summer.

Anyone else has anything, PLEASE post it! Love to have this stuff for ideas when it's a "snow day" or a day to hot to get out and about, or things for kids to do! I'm sure others do too. Like I said, I'm always looking for new things to try.

For knitters or crocheters, I'd like to share one of my favorite sites. There are a lot of free patterns here:

Lion Brand yarn also has a free online newsletter that's pretty good.

Here is a place for those who enjoy knitting or crocheting slippers. The projects get donated to those serving in the military.

My granddaughter started a recipe box with the recipes she has helped me make for dinners and desserts, etc. (sigh, she's at least STARTING out more organized than I am). She's only 8, will be interesting to see how organized she is at my age after collecting recipes and cookbooks for 45 years, LOL! (yes only1alpha, in the closet, and cupboards and drawers and an antique cabinet, and boxes and files, all over the danged place)
