What in the world???

I refused to let them fingerprint me. They asked to see my ID and checked it against my ticket and then let me in.

We'd already spent 3 days getting into Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios... why did they suddently want fingerprints from us on that day at Disneyworld?

I'd seen them making others do it who had regular tickets (we had the weeklong park hopper card)...

I told them why are they treating me like a criminal at one of the "Happiest places on Earth???" That's when he backed off and just asked to see my DL.

Why in the h&*l do they need to capture paying CUSTOMERS' fingerprints at Disney??? Hello - the word, CUSTOMERS ring a bell? I get security, etc. They were checking everyone's bags before you could enter (a light check at that, barely a glance in...) Just ridiculous!

How weird! I've never heard of that before.

I went to the world in Oct 07. They told me it was a safety measure so no one can steal your ticket. You can refuse to have your figure scanned but then you have to show ID every time. DisneyLand does not do this.

Its so sad to think that even the "happiest" place on earth, has had to react to crime~ just more proof that nothings "sacred" any more ~ :( Thats sad ~

I bet it's more that they don't want you reselling your multi day ticket after you have used it.

Maybe, but it was nice to know you did not have to scan your finger if you did not want to. It was my first trip and I had loads of fun.

We'll be at Disneyland in April for 2 days. Delaney is dancing there with the studio. I'll see if they do that.
I'm with you Kk. Wouldn't want them scanning my figure or finger. I can understand the measures of stealing your pass but ask for id not your finger.

We were at Disneyland/ California Adventure recently, they didn't do any fingerprinting, but they were very careful in checking our backpacks, etc...

My youngest daughter is there now, she spent the weekend there with her friend and their parents, I'll ask when they get back if they did any of that.

That is crazy..I would never put my fingerprint on anything other then cashing checks and such... not there....

if it is because they might not want to resell the tickests they needs to mark it with something or punch a hole through it but asking for someones fingerprint is like asking for there Social Security number or something....

whatever.,....

They move to the finger scan after do polls to see what people would do and it be a fast process at the get. DisneyLand does not do this cause it would take major remolding of there turnstiles to do it. They do check your bags. Your not alowed to have any weapons and glass items.
