It reminds me of the style of architect Frank Lloyd Wright. And I wished they were going to have it on a home tour.

And though it is close to the road it is a beautiful site to build a dream artist studio. We should all be so lucky.
What is so funny or odd about that?
"His mission was to create a truly American architecture, one appropriate for free citizens that would reflect the democratic values of this great country in which he so firmly believed. In creating what he called an “architecture for democracy,” he redefined our concept of space as he sought to make the common man uncommon by offering everyone the opportunity to live and grow in nourishing environments, connected physically and spiritually to the natural world.
But his genius was not confined to America. The “cause of architecture” he espoused had international appeal and both he and his work have been widely celebrated. During his lifetime, Frank Lloyd Wright was honored by Belgium, Brazil, Cuba, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Sweden, Switzerland, Uruguay, and Wales and in his own country by honorary degrees from numerous universities including Princeton and Yale and his own alma mater, the University of Wisconsin."

For me personaly, concrete is not a first choice, but then again neither is money not an "option" too ! ....lol... I moved to the mountains to get away from concrete and stucko and acres of asphault....opting for streams, meadows instead of lawns, and log cabins or wood and brick homes..... :) As long as I have been up here, I have found I that unchanged with in me...... ;)
However, it would be great to have a home tour or showcase of that place wouldnt it!
Remember many years ago, when they would do those "homes of the future" shows? That would be fun!

I have to admit, I have gone and snooped around the outside of the house when noone was there. All I can say is that it is AMAZING!!! There is a huge concrete wall that goes from outside, through a glass window and becomes a large wall inside the house. The wall is textured to look like bark from an oak tree. It's so unique. The back of the house is mostly glass to bring in the beautiful views of the falls and it looks like they have added a waterfall that comes from under the house to join the natural falls. It is all very geometric, but somehow fits well because there are alot of natural geometric designs in the boulders around. There is also a huge fireplace that I could sleep in. I've been watching the progress from the beginning and like many, scratched my head wondering how someone could put up an ugly concrete home amongst such a beautiful spot. Who ever designed the home really had a vision and clearly has a passion. Who ever owns the house really has alot of money. ; )

Oh wow! If they have textured the outside to look like bark !!! I bet then it will almost vanish if they intend to give it a camo paint job!!! That would be really awesome in my book !
OK Monkey, I may need to do a bit of an excrusion myself one of these days~ if I ever get over that way again, before its done ~! lol (curiosity killed the cat and wolfie...ha! )

Oh wow,,, now I really wish they would put it on a home tour.
Who are they, I wonder?
It really sounds like they are really creating it in the architect , Wright's ideas.
wow...

FYI: The "bark wall" is the large dark brown wall that you can see from Hwy 41.
