Hi,

I would like to get ahold of one of those little raido player ~ "Ipod?" things? I am looking for something that I can re-record my audio books on to listen to so I dont disturb the other people around me.
It doesnt have to be an "Ipod" brand..... ( those are really pricey for me), so if anyone can shed some light on this for me, and tell me about different brands/ choices and options, etc. it would help me out alot. My primary use would be for my audio books~ with maybe some of my favorite CD music on it also..( can they even hold this much?) !
I dont know a darned thing other than they are small square little boxes, with head phones that can plug into my ears so that I hope I can listen to my books anywhere!!! lol
If anyone has one of these thingy's they want to sell too ! that would also be great! Thanks ! :)

Oh, this is such an easy choice for me to make... I would never go with an iPod or a Zune unless they did not have to make you use a program like iTunes or Windows Media Player to transfer music... I have used this brand called iRiver for a long time, their players allow you to drag and drop the music to the player without the need of a program.

Their latest player seems fantastic!

THANK YOU soooo much for the info! I dont like being "forced" or locked in to being limited to or having to use any "brand' of software to make something work the way I want or need it too`- and drag and drop is right up my alley!! Ha! Now I just have to figure out what size? I guess I need to use, so I can transfer audio books on cd to one... any suggestions for this? Thanks again!
