Neil Oscar Peek died Feb. 29, 2008. He was born in Long Beach in 1934. He was a lifelong educator and coach. He retired as a principal and moved to the Mountain Area 10 years ago.
He has been a substitute teacher all over the Mountain Area and also has been an active participant in Pop Warner and Little League. He also did some coaching here, mostly football.
He was a devout Christian.
He is survived by his wife, Dee, of Oakhurst; daughter Jan Mohulski; sons Bruce, Chris and David Peek, all of the Mountain Area; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church in Oakhurst at 11 a.m. on March 29. Condolences may be sent to the Peeks at 43555 Highway 41, No. B23, Oakhurst, CA 93644.
